Worth purchasing SEO services?

I'm looking to rank my new site, but I'm wondering if it's worth spending a lot of SEO services or whether I should just do it myself. I'm not the best, but I'm able to build high PR backlinks and can probably rank my site quite high on Google. Saying that, I probably couldn't do as well as a SEO expert could, so I'm considering it.

What do you think? Should I?

I would normally say Yes to outsourcing, but it is really hard to get what you are looking for. If you do it yourself you might get it wrong.

I can help you. I have ranked quite a few new sites. I reckon you'll need a budget of $100-$200 initially and then maybe $100 per month for link rental. Drop me a PM.

With this kind of offer you're really destroying the whole SEO community and the people's perception about SEO services. The lower I ever got was $4000 a month for a keyword + content distribution expenses.

Please delete your reply, you're embarrassing our profession!

The whole point of SEO is to bring a lot of recurring & targeted organic traffic which is equal to high profits. Building this money making system and handing it to somebody else for $200 is pointless.

Well, you do have access to the most effective ranking technique available today. But some questions remain as to how effective you'll be using them. Like the above poster mentioned, without experience, you're likely to do more harm than good.

    Possible pitfalls
    • Are these PR domains actually clean and will give you a positive ranking movement?
    • Have they been tested?
    • Hows your anchor text selection skills?
    • Are you adding links at a velocity appropriate to the site age?
    • Are you justifying your backlinks with the proper social signals?

Feel free to add me on Skype and I can give you some pointers: matt_apache

If you are too busy with other parts of your business then yes it's worth investing in a SEO service.

If you are not then its better to do it yourself + you learn more and you will learn how to spot a bad SEO agency vs a good one in the future.

  • I would suggest teaching yourself the basics of SEO first. There are so many valuable resources on the internet, such as Aaron Wall's SEO Book.com ~ SEO Training Made Easy

Then, once you have the hang of things, choose a SEO provider that offers the types of services that will, in fact, yield results. Your SEO training will help you determine this.
