Objective: Build a list with double opt-in subscribers very interested in specific subject (narrow niche)

* The broad niche is MMO

Resources: A free report (detailed) in exchange for email address

Tools: Google friendly squeeze page

Indecision caused by: PPC numbers.

Some PPC keywords are $27+

Challenge: Find a group of keywords that are under $2 in a MMO sub/micro-niche to build this list using Google PPC.

BUT

Still must have enough volume to make the campaign worth running.

Examples are:
"make money with facebook" $0.98 [good one so far]
"learn affiliate marketing" $5.18
"make money email marketing" $15.68 (ACK!!!)

Any hidden gems? Ideas?

    Hard to say without knowing exactly what the niche is, but MMO will almost always carry a high PPC. You can try less targeted keywords and do the selling on your ad and the page. The issue you might run into with that is a lower CTR and, subsequently, a lower QS, which'll inflate your cost even further.

    If you can get around the low QS issue (which you can, if you're creative, but I'm not going to hold your hand), you'll want to figure out what demographic you're targeting and what they're likely to be searching. Once you do that, you laser target your ad and page copy for the (MMO-related) keywords you're targeting while addressing an issue they may have and offering a solution for it.

    You can't be too tunnel-visioned on certain keywords when doing PPC. It'd be ideal to get the best ones, but that's not always possible, and you'll need to rely on your marketing savvy to make up for the lack of capital or ROI from high priority keywords.
