      ROTFLMAO!

You people must be shamefully ripping clients off after giving useless advice like that.

Holy cow....3 strikes, is anyone out?

I got a feeling you all got on the same bus this morning.

  • I do not put meta keywords anymore as it is no longer necessary as before. But there is no harm in putting it on your pages if you still prefer to have meta kws for your site.

Just go with Joost's opinion, and ignore everyone in this thread repeating "yes, yes, meta keywords". Meta keywords do not work. The time you spend with that nonsense is time you could spend incorporating those words to your article.

And no, Yahoo doesn't use meta keywords. Bing says that they're one of the 1000 signals they may use, but they also say that they're going to penalize you for spamming with them. So benefit is dubious at best, but meta keywords do offer the possibility to shoot yourself in the foot.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Obviously Yandex and Baidu aren't the first thing to discuss if the topic is on an English-speaking forum and just meta keywords in general. Since you seem to know the answer, how about posting it instead?

Here goes: If you're targeting Russia or China meta keywords may have some relevance to you. Yandex has kept them on the list of their signals. However, I do find it likely that Yandex and Baidu do not trust the keywords blindly and know they're used for spamming.

It's a useless tag these days, just avoid it. No need to add more to your code for an out-dated tag. Your website will not rank any better if you add a bunch of keywords in there.

Matt Cutts has already been cleared in one of his video that Google bot doesn't consider Meta Keywords as an Ranking factor.

So doesn't matter whether you add meta keywords or not !!
