Will more blog posts equal more traffic?

So I'm planning on getting 500 blog posts of 500 words each on my blog, all with quality writing and copyscape-passed.

What I did is make a list of about 500 niche-related keywords related to content writing services, and my goal is to have one article written that focuses on one keyword.

To ensure optimal search engine optimization I'm using Yoast and making the necessary changes to turn the light green, meaning the keyword appears in the title, meta description, page url, h2 subtitle, in the first paragraph and 2 to 3 times in the remaining paragraphs.

But my question is: Will it be worth the investment having 500 blog posts written to increase traffic?

Currently my site is about a month old and I have 22 blog posts, 18 web service pages, and I'm only getting an average of 3 to 5 hits from the search engine a day.

Also, would 500 high quality SEO blog posts help increase my traffic to 50 to 100+ visits a day? The reason I ask is because I really want to get to the point that I get clients on a regular basis, so I want to ensure that I'm getting enough high quality traffic. This is why I'm even thinking of having 1,000 blog posts written for my blog, as I believe it would require at least 100-200 visits a day to reach my goal.

Would be awesome to have confirmation on this, because I think this is an awesome opportunity to invest for high quality long term traffic. Thanks!

EDIT: Also, I will be paying about 0.75$ per blog article by outsourcing the work, or around 300$, so the investment isn't that much. And yes, the articles will be written with quality, the main reason as to why I'm able to get quality articles written for this low amount is I hire freelancers with no feedback and guarantee them 5/5 feedback to help build their portfolio etc.

In most cases if you have a lot of posts, your going to get more traffic from google than if you had less posts.

For example if you did no seo whatsoever on 2 sites (maybe you just cant be bothered) and one had 40 articles and one had 500, you'd see a huge difference in traffic between the two sites, with the one with 500 articles getting more traffic. My guess is its just you get moer chances at being seen with more posts.

BTW, i Have done this, not with 500 posts, but with 200 ish posts vs a 20 post website.

Having 500 pages isn't going to do much on it's own, you need a starting point to get the ball rolling (external links).

Research silos (structured/focused categories), break those 500 pages down into small groups of same subject pages with proper internal links & on-page SEO.

Thanks for the insight, yes I was thinking of outreaching to other websites to offer quality content to get a few back links. As I thought that if I increase my websites authority it will increase the chances for each blog post for ranking well thus increasing traffic

In my opinion 300$ to 350$ for 500 blog posts is well worth it. Some writers charge 5$ to 10$+ per article, which for me would be 2,500$ to 5,000$. But I know how to communicate with new freelancers so they can write articles at 0.75$ an article as I guarantee them 5/5 feedback for their portfolio.

When you think of it, having 500 unique quality SEO optimized blog posts would easily churn in 100 to 150+ visits from the search engine a day on auto pilot - no back linking required. In my opinion I think it's a great investment. As they say, content is king! lol

Well I guess you wrote those articles for search engines than human. Otherwise 0.75$ for well written article even after reading your mathematics and arguments still it is a day dream!

You need to make sue some of these articles are targeting low competitive kewyords so that the blog pages are ranking without any extra effort. In this way if you can rank 100 pages on #1 for 100 low (lets say 50/per month) search volume keywords you might going to get 100 x 30 = 3000 targeted traffic. To achieve this milestone you have to make sure internal linking is good so that your targeted pages are getting link juice and authority.

Yep that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm going to actually write an article for virtually every keyword I was able to get from the Google keyword suggest tool using content writing services. I'll be even targeting keywords with as little as 10-20 searches per month, and as much as 1,000-2,000 searches per month. I'm hoping to get the 500 blog posts written soon so I can see the changes in traffic, I may have to hire 15 to 20 writers lol.

Just because I'm going to be publishing 500 blog posts doesn't mean that's it's going to be copied or spun content. All of the posts are going to be of quality. Quantity * Quality = Even more traffic..

It's quite simple to understand, Even 1 Post can bring more traffic than 500 posts combined! Trust me!
Keyword Research is the secret and must be done before you even start writing blog posts... Make sure you focus on less competitive and high search volume keywords as they will bring most of the traffic. Simply dumping hundreds of blog posts that do not have any search than obviously its not worth it!

More High Search Volume Keywords Rich Posts = More High Traffic

So having more number of posts will help but only if they have well researched keywords in it!

Few years ago, In one of my blog I had only 12 posts but blog received 2000+ visitors each day! and another blog with 76 posts received only 100-200 visitors each day. So its all about choosing right keywords.

    Hope it helps.

Yes I believe you, I will actually be using the Yoast tool to have one article target one long tail keyword. That's amazing I never knew 12 posts could get that much traffic, you must have done a lot of SEO on the website? But even 100 to 200 visits a day for only 76 posts is amazing. I would be glad to get that many visits once I post the 500 blog posts, but even 300-500 visits a day would be better

More posts would mean you’d be hitting more long tail keywords and that would mean more traffic. But, when you say $0.75 per article that makes me wonder about the quality of the articles you’d be getting. “CS Passed” is no longer enough. If you really want to stay in the good books of Google make sure your articles offer some value. A website filled with “just” CS passed articles is not going to get you anywhere.

Yes they will be of quality. All mostly written by native English writers with no filler content or anything.

Having more content won't guarantee more traffic. But it would up your chances of being found in the search engines.

During the first Panda update, eHow was penalized for doing something similar as they targeted thousands of very similar keywords having each page devoted to a keyword. When most people think of duplicate content, they consider an exact match but in that situation Google felt the overly targeted nearly identical keywords was a backdoor being used to cheat the system and eHow got the penalty. Google said, just combine those related keywords into one really long article. That might happen to you in this situation. That is, assuming your keywords about content writing are so similar as to make a new page irrelevant or duplicate for each one.
