where to put noindex tag in Wordpress?

Hi,

Want to make sure my pages are not crawled by Google.

Saw this: https://yoast.com/articles/robots-meta-tags/

Where do I put the info:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

Again, need to fix it so that a page in Wordpress is not followed.

    Add the noindex tag one line below the <head> tag in the HTML source code.

    Make sure you really want the page noindexed.

      Thanks for the response.

      I am using Wordpress and a theme.

      It seems like these pages are generated on-the-fly. I can only find the page if I am logged into the admin side of Wordpress.

      I downloaded/installed the SEO Yoast plugin and it seemed to have a place to do the "noindex", "nofollow". I checked the source code and the input is under the <head> area now.

    Easiest option: go to the WordPress settings, and tick the box "Search Engine Visibility". This will add a robots.txt file to "discourage search engines from indexing this site" as the description says.

    Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

      I did not want to make sure the entire site was not indexed - just some pages. For example, there are some pages that ~should~ be seen by the public (i.e. from google) just to get to the site (like "our product offering",etc.)

      There are other pages that should (IMHO) only be seen when the user gets to the site - like "contact us", "about us", etc.

      The problem is that when Google displays the sitemap for the business, the "contact us" page and the "about us" page is listed.

        I'd use Yoast SEO to get this done, but it's not the only option. It's in the "advanced" tab of the editor window.

        Look for index and follow.
