why does the listing look like this?

Hi,

If I do the following from Google:
site: openthenextdoor.com

it lists every page of the site. If I do the following for google entry:
open the next door

then it lists pages in a more condensed form.

Why is this the case?

Because one is a standard google search and the other is asking Google to display the pages for that specific domain that it has indexed.

because site:domain search parameter gives all the indexed page of that domains.

  What if you wanted to make sure that only ~certain pages~ show up when typing "open the next door" - as in the example above and not that ~every~ page of the site shows up ?
