Hi Warriors,

Many things have changed in the last couple of years, regarding link building. I diversify my link building strategy as much as possible, but definitely looking for some interesting and innovative sources of link building.

Which techniques do you use now? I mostly rely on guest blogging and blog commenting at the moment. What about you?

Cheers
Kal

My suggestion is to make sure you are doing ink building process according to these algorithms, otherwise you can get penalized by Google and it is not good for your website.

Well, I move forward only with the link generated from the forum signature pannel, yahoo answers, Quora Q/A ! Rest I am working in posting article over my own blog which is again shard over all the social network.

Find out where your competitors are getting there links and go after opportunities. Identify hubs, which are linking to 2/3 of your competitors. Find out what content has been popular in the niche before and see how you can adapt it to your own purposes. Personalise your outreach and link out freely from your own site/share others. Less is more.

The most reliable method of link building remains providing well-written, high-quality content that your audience will benefit from.

Any other strategy is vulnerable to the whims of Google.

I still do a lot of what I done before to be honest. Yahoo answers, social bookmarking, web 2.0, guest blogging, light article marketing, video sharing, content creation and distribution to gain backlinks.

These all work, just don't build too many at once, I have a link builder who does this on a monthly basis to different sites. I like to have a lot of variation of anchors.

Still works, just don't abuse the system.

You can also try article submission, social bookmarking, paid directory submission. I think those still work

In a lot of ways, the more things change the more they stay the same.

You still should strive for high PR, relevant links, just as you always have.

The post up the top about copying sites that are already ranking for the keywords you want to rank for is a good idea, too.

You need to widen your link building methods bro

Yes a lot has changed over the last couple of years, a LOT!

Guest blogging works very well, but blog commenting not so much anymore.

Try to just build content that Google loves, articles, blog posts, content for your website, guest posts, etc.

i seriously think that in most cases building links is not going to help you. You should try to get other people to want to link to your website. If your content is great then people are going to do the job for you.

Try web 2.0's in your linkbuilding strategy. Look as natural as possible, and use more than 2 types of links to diversify. Good luck!

I'm reading a lot of answers related to forum signatures and blog comments as being a "great" way to build links. Google is heavily devaluing these types of backlinks as it's obviously been an abused strategy. Is that to say you should stop doing it? no, of course not.. there still is value, just not as much as it used to be.

If you want to get great backlinks, you first need to create great content. THEN, you need to promote that content throughout the web to gain readership and share-ability. Create a great social network of bloggers who are willing to link to your content from their content.

Also, look for high authoritative websites that would be willing to post an article on their website about your content. Maybe you write an article for a big website and link to a couple of your pages as the "source" for the information.

Shoot for high quality, authoritative links.
