Hello,

First, sorry about my English, it is'nt fluent yet, so I'm going to do my best for you guys!

About a week ago I made my very fist website in Wordpress, about 7 pages with content now and they are all indexed (site: mysite). Some toolsite told me I am on page 57 on Google for my main keyword at the moment.

In the following days/weeks I'm going to expand my site with 10-15 pages with content.

How long does it normally take to reach, let's say, the top 5 pages on google? Keep in mind this is all an experiment for me to learn more about SEO.

Hopefully you get it!

No-one is going to be able to tell you with absolute certainty how long it's going to take to rank high for a specific keyword. People can take educated guesses based on a few factors (domain age, quality & quantity of backlinks, competitiveness of the keywords etc.) but even then, they're just guesses & they don't know how search engines will react to your onsite & offsite activities.

Good luck with your first site. No one can answer exactly if how long your site will reach the top.t depends on competition and your hard work.

The first SEO rule that you should know - there can be no rules. Especially rules on terms of promotion. Everything depends on you. You should read this forum first to know the answer on this question.

    Hey mate

Congratulations for taking action! You are very close to discover things by yourself!
But honestly we can't tell you when your site will reach that position if you haven't yet started your off(page campaign.

Most of my sites hit top 1 of Google after 80 - 96 days because of what I did and how i did it. There are too many factors concerning ranking.

    Take care!

You should have allowed us to have a glimpse of your new website

It'll be hard to make your website rank in Google so don't rush things and just do the promotion just the way you like it to be.

No one can guarantee the rankings for a particular position over a particular period. If you have done your Keyword research right and found low competition keywords. ie. Moz difficulty score less than 30 or at least less than 35. Then depending on the quality and diversity of your back links you will reach page 1 over a period of 3 to 6 months. More High PR links with diluted anchor text ratio and consistent link building will help to achieve the rankings little bit faster. Do not forget that rankings does not depend only on back links. Lot of other factors like original contents, site structure, on page seo, bounce rate, visitors stay time in your site etc also plays role in the rankings.

    Hello friend,
Ita really very hard to tell when your website will get ranked on first 5 pages, but the good thing is that you are making efforts. I think it takes some time because domain authority is also an important thing and it comes with age. It takes some time, but you continue with backlink creation and making use of social networking sites for promotion of your website.

There are easily dozens of factors which must be understood first before one can make an educated guess as to how long. Without you giving information on competition, onpage settings, backlink profile and a few others, we can't help you. Sorry.

Speculating about the indexing and ranking of your site in Google isn't an easy task. Google is a dynamic search engine and have some complex search algorithms which are updated with span of time. So, In my opinion focus on your website and its contents or its other SEO stuffs like backlinks etc. And let the rest for Google to do his work.

  • Congratulations to the brave start. First, you have to explore all the competition that is placed before you. And when you're better than most you're on the first page of Google. Good luck!

I can tell you all the things about improving your website position on the top of Google search results. First of all high quality and unique content is the most important thing for improving your website ranking on the top of google search results. After that you need to improve your website and make it SEO enable a website. Sometimes your website ranking depends on keywords of your website so you need to select a low competitive keyword for your website. Social media optimization and video SEO are playing an important role for generating traffic to your website and if you want to rank your website then traffic is most important. Beside this you can also use SEO strategies like Link Building, Social Bookmarking,Forum posting for improving the rank of your website on google.

Well, I am afraid but I don't think you are going to get the answer of your question over here because it's just to broad to comment over it ! I would rather say keep on working like you are and you will eventually get yourself ranked !
