When searching for a keyword on google and you click "video" instead of web, are those results the same as web but only showing video?

I am convinced they are because I've compared the two. So is this correct or no?

No. The results are different. Please try this search "stock market video" as web and as video. check the results for first few pages and you will be able notice the difference.

Im guessing its sligtly different for that keyword because it has the word "video" in the it but its still VERY similar. I've done at least 20 searches for keywords in several niches to find that the videos come in the exact same order just not listing the non video results.

I believe that the results for the "video" tab when doing a google search come in the same orfer just not listing the non video results. So I have been using this to check the progress of youtube videos that I have been trying to work which is a faster way of checking its progress compared to searching page through pages and pages on "web" results.

Yeah thats what I mean, they come in the same order for all the keywords ive searched for aswell so I started using it as a way to track my videos progress to see if it goes up or down.

I think the results are different because the algorithm of finding keyword on websites and finding keyword in "videos" are not the same.
Google finds videos by descriptions and the titles.
Google finds keyword on websites by Titles, Heading, Meta descriptions.
