  I think Ezinearticles just for the fact that they place the resource of your article in the flow of the article. Alot of other directories will place ads in between your article and resource or place it way at the bottom of the page hard to find.

What do you mean SEO wise? If your wondering what directories to use to get you article as high as possible in the serps. Definitely publish to Ezinearticles.

If you are looking to get backlinks to your website i wouldnt bother posting any more than a couple of articles to a certain directory.

I am seeing that Google no longer values multiple links from a Domain more than a single link. The trick is to submit to many different directories for stronger backlink value.

Its common knowledge in SEO that backlinks from similar related site are valued much higher than from non releated sites. Since content has become king in the search engines, thousands of article directories have poped up. With a simple google search you can find many article directories in any niche.

Find directories in your website's niche and submit related articles to them. Much higher backlink value to your site and much higher chance that the backlink will count in Google.

I believe EzineArticles.com is free all around. It is the best one. Don't forget about using Squidoo and HubPages to publish your content as well. Change the article around and use those sites also. I also like iSnare if you change the content some and GoArticles.com for traffic.
