I always resisted buying subscription for keyword research, but recently notice some keywords had more traffic on WordStream oppose to Google Keyword Planner.

What have you experienced with paid keyword research tools.
Thanks

It all depends on the keyword research tool and how well the owners of that product keep up with Google changes. Whenever Google makes a change it will effect the results that you get. The ability of the company that owns the seo tools to keep up can also affect the results that you get.

I would say almost everything is better than the keyword planner. Looking simply at page titles, or depending on your niche product names and descriptions in Amazon and Ebay, will result IMHO in a much better list of keywords - which you can then supplement with the keyword planner.

If you are getting keywords from AdWords or Google Webmaster Tools, I would consider those superior Google-based resources.

I love long tail pro software for keyword research. However this tools picks up all data from google keyword planner only, but helps for identifying the low competition keywords by using the moz data to provide the keyword difficulty score for all the keywords. So I use them to find the long tail keywords with low competition and reasonable search volume.

There has been rumors that MS is using Bing! database... I am not sure if that's true or not... I think that Google Keyword Planner is fairly well (except it is ugly and a bit user - unfriendly). I am researching KW for my clients on Google's tool and never had one problem with it!

Well, tell you what don't bother on paying for the Keyword research tool, I guess this has been said a number of times over the warrior forum that instead of paying for the keyword research tool use the Google Keyword Planner Tool. So, I am going to suggest you the same instead of looking answers or opinions over the paid keyword research tool use Google Keyword planner.

I often use 2-3 keyword tools including Google Keyword Planner as I want to check all my keywords from different sources. But since I want most of my site traffic coming from Google, I often depend on Google stats.

you can still use the keyword research tool, but look into the competition of the keywords also. another tool you can use is Google trends for the actual competition of the actual keyword inside of your own personal rankings.

Keyword is a very important in search engine optimization. You can create an account in google keyword planner and try to reach it. I sure that at a time you can do it.
