What's the competition for the keyword you are trying to rank? This will weigh more heavily than almost any other factor. So even a really good method of SEO and page optimization might not work very well for you, if the keyword is already in a saturated niche.

  I agree with WebStats, yous should start with low competition keywords whcih are usually long tail keywords, once you dominate these keywords you can start targeting for shorter keywords with strong competition.

you could try some blog comments on pages that don't have a ton of outbound links. it might not be permanent, but could stay long enough to get you some ranking effects

I would say that the easiest way to do the ranking would be to tabulate the number of responses saying they use each of the methods, and then do the ranking on that. Literally just a numeric ranking of which method is used most frequently.

there is many option which you can follow but best what i think is blog comment. I really don't trust in bookmarking, it is not useful. I am sorry, this is my personal opinion. Whenever i tried the bookmarking i had negative effect and i completely stopped it

Look for low competition and high volume keywords. You can use Google keyword planner.
You can do some directory submission, and also include your keywords in blog commenting.
Include keywords in your comments in such way that it adds value and sense to your sentence.

  Before the google updates over the past 2-3 years, I could rank on first page a keyword with <50k competition in less than 2 weeks. Now I am having problems ranking keywords with <20k competition. These updates have made SEO completely useless in my opinion.

  Only if the forums are relevant, otherwise it's going to damage the ranking. I've received various link removal requests from webmasters who SEOd by using signature links on my non-related forum in the past and now Google is penalizing them... The same applies to your signature, posting those links in here is probably doing more bad than good.

I think everyone has different things in mind when talking about ranking a keyword but the most important thing is the quality , length of the content including headings, paragraphing, images, media used, keywords density, title and then internal links pointing to that page and finally social links and back links.

senuke campaing will work fine. Just mesure your success with that and use quality content within senuke, so your backlinks dont get deleted. keep on building links constantly for a good link velocity. also consider to buy a few high pr backlinks a fiverr or digitalpoint. you will be successfull in the long run with that strategy.
