Hey guys

I've used many methods online over the years but recently I spoke with a few Internet Marketers and they have all shared one common opinion...

That is - that SEO will soon be completely dead in the water...

Is this an eventuality? If so, is it worth investing time and money down this route?

Thoughts welcome

Cheers

Jo

I'm pretty much under the same assumption. backlinks will be important, but they come naturally. Content is king like never before, if your shit is not interesting and unique than nobody will find you. If you're affiliate advertising, well that's a waste of time. Why buy from you when they can buy from Amazon, Walmart etc... etc... Promote some shitty clickbanks products? sure waste your time on that too see how far that gets you. This make money online SEO bullshit is played out.

SEO will be dead, when search engines are dead.

Be realistic. SEO is not a thing, it's not a game. It's not dead, it won't die, that doesn't even make sense.

I wouldn't say its dead, but it's a heck of a lot easier for the average person to get in on it these days. Websites are going up at insane rates, and backlink softwares are ruining the manual process.

Those "internet marketers" are complete and total morons. I'd recommend not listening to anything further they have to say.

I'm new to making money online but with anything in life - I've always had the methodology of keeping my eye on the bigger picture and using that to focus.
I suggest you take a little dose of your own advice.

As long as there are search engines, there will be people attempting to crack the code to get their sites to rise to the top. SEO isn't going anywhere. It changes every time the search engines changes their algorithms, but it's not going to die.

SEO can not be dead, thats true things have been changes round the corner but it can not die. Methods have been changes, now we need to focus more on quality work not on the quality. As far as time is concerned, definitely it will take time after all competition are increasing day by day, google coming up with new update for better relevancy, there are many website owner try to rank high, and still there are many company stick to old tactic which force google to come up with new update. People need to change approach now instead of running after only top 10 rank. try to increase online presence of the website, reach to your audience, improve organic traffic, focus on that. unless until people are search for products or services on the internet, seo can not die.

I feel sorry for people who call themselves Internet Marketers and yet they believe that SEO is dead (or has nothing to do with what they are doing; Internet Marketing).

Hear this fellows, SEO is not dead. It has been upgraded. What used to work in SEO might not be working today but there are new things added in the game. So you better should adopt things accordingly instead of crying out about its deadness.

I still have no idea why people don't see the good part of this picture instead of killing SEO just to be a news breaker...

    SEO lives....and for good reason.

Search Engine Optimization as we know it has gradually changed a lot in the past few years and it will only continue to evolve as search engines come up with new ways to tackle spam and new signals to identify high quality sites. SEO will never cease existing for as long as search engines continue sending massive amounts of traffic to top ranked urls.

SEO can't be dead ever. They are just hypes created and you never know what SEO can bring in to help you. But yes, it will bring more new techniques so that websites can rank well with following ore accurate algorithms. Just times are changing to perform things for better and Change is for Better only. Keep on learning something new.

Webmasters will never stop trying to get higher placement in Google search, so thus search engine optimization will never be dead. And, for that reason Google will constantly be trying to change their algorithm to outsmart those who would try to trick them. Best possible answer is just to publish an entertaining and authoritative site that people love and share frequently. This will result in lots of natural (editorial) backlinks and plenty of real visitors.

I dug up some discussions on the matter:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/search-e...e-noticed.html
    http://www.warriorforum.com/search-e...-seo-dead.html
    http://www.warriorforum.com/search-e...-seo-dead.html

All this talk about dying is macabre to the people of the internet who are making a living. (see what I did there?)

So do you have the means to go the extra mile?

If yes, it means survival of the fittest and those who survive each and every update Google throws at you means you have the will to be on top of your game. Those who "died" before you may have something lacking.

Also, Google might be an almighty search engine, but remember, there's an option for a lot other more. As others have stated before me, and time and again, Search Engine Optimization is there as long as there are search engines.

So what's the best way to explain this: SEO has become difficult for a lot of us. Can you keep up? That is the challenge, my friend.

Google undid countless hours of webmaster work with their Panda Hummingbird and Penguin updates. 90% of commercial websites lost most of their organic traffic.

Paid traffic is now essential even if you have reasonable organic traffic.

They were probably all the same guy. Internet marketers use tricks like creating multiple accounts to back up the stupid shit they say on the first account.

In my opinion SEO still works, but it is not like the old days where you could spend a few hours or a little money and things would stick.

These days the relationship between SEO and Google is more like the greek myth of King Sisyphus... the man was compelled to continue rolling a stone uphill and when he reached the top the next day it was back at the bottom.

Two methods: Business SEO - backlinks, press releases, social media; Technical SEO - hosting, platform, performance, product count, internationalisation. SMEs use Siteground generating 1-2 organic visitors per $1 hosting - corporates use Tier 1/2 providers generating ~25 organic visitors per $1 hosting.

So to make up the difference the SMEs have to work like crazy - they use Business SEO automation tools (backlink generators) - but Google have changed their algorithms so they don't work. So SMEs move to PPC - with PPC you are paying $0.50-$1 (if you're lucky) whereas the corporates are paying ~$0.05 per visitor - why do you think department stores and corporates are growing 20-50% YoY - they are gaining the business from the SMEs at 1/10th the cost.

And there you have the difference - SEO will always exist - just most SMEs will be pushed out of the game and forced down to niche long tail keywords - meaning less revenue.

SEO will never die unless search engines are all dead.......However, the methods to do SEO may be different in the future, we may don't need create backlinks, we may just need to create unique contents and have more people click it.....who knows. Well, I just want to say:" SEO will not die, but the game's rules may be changed, that is, we may have to play SEO game in totally different ways in the future."
