expired domain question

I own bluemallets.net and bluemalletsdiscount.com has expired and can be registered. It has a mention on two sites. One has a SITE PR of 7 and PAGE PR of 2 and the other a SITE PR of 4 and PAGE PR of 1.

When I say mention, there is no actual link rather just the text of the url.. is it worth grabbing for reg fee? Can I use this to boost ranking of bluemallets.net which is currently position 9 for 'blue mallets'

If there is no link to it from those high PR sites, it's worth is equal to that of a new domain, so you won't lose anything by obtaining it for the reg fee. Nevertheless, I recommend you examine it's history and link profile to make sure it hasn't been spammed, abused, or penalized.

It is not worth it at all on my opinion, work on your website instead or try to advertise your website somewhere for the bucks you are thinking to spend on the new domain.

Make sure check google and adsense ban before you buy it. I made some mistakes before, the old domain can not be indexed on Google.
