Hello everyone,

Say there is a very well ranked website (always have quality and updated content since years) and a blank test text has been published by mistake on the website. There was only a test title and everything else was blank, not much bogus text. Can this affect the ranking of the website and all the other websites linked to it?

Can one article only mess up everything? Is there no way to fix that?

Thanks in advance to those who will answer, this will be of great help!!!

No, I wouldn't worry about a little thing like that.

If your site has suddenly taken a drop in the rankings it's probably to do with something else you've been doing.

    Thanks for your reply guys.
I have got a severe warning at my workplace because they think I am responsible for rankings going down, due to this test article.
What factors can actually contribute to this?
What leads Google to usually take such a radical measure on a website? Without any warning?

Noncompliance with the Google webmaster guidelines is what leads Google to take action against websites.

If your "team" at your work place believes this is what caused your site to drop in rankings, you guys obviously have a lot of learning to do

The great thing about seo is that i am surrounded by idiots..which makes for easy leverage in this industry.

I'm starting to think they are just looking for someone to blame for all the bullshit they had going on the website.... I've been researching and you are all indeed right.. I have to find a way to make things right for myself, thanks for all the replies and support!

If the page isn't ranking you can change the content as often as you like.
