Is this a safe directory to be on?

Any ideas - a site that was hit by penguin a while ago, would it be safe to keep a link on joeant.com?

They look pretty reputable. Any idea?

Joeant is an old, well maintained and edited directory, I would not remove a link to my website from their directory.

Is there a limit to how many directories you can be on? Is a couple ok? Would Google penalize a site for being on a few niche directories?

  No, Google likes niche and local listings, it is no limit, only it should be a good resource.

  Of course not. DIrectories are great not only for ranking, but also for some good and targetted visitors! According to me, do NOT remove your website!

I've had a site listed in their directory for years. There aren't any issues that I'm aware of.

This is a safe directory , they have a good domain and page authority as well. I would suggest you keep the link.

Yeah it looks good enough. Just put it in your questionable list. So when you finish cleaning up and still get rejected, you can just go back and review that list.
