Get the free ads with the big 3 local platforms. Google my business (google+ for business), Yahoo local, and Bing Local.

Then, you'll want to get it listed in the big 5 aggregators.

On page seo you may also have to do internal linking strategy, proper post title, ALT tags, meta description tag, URL structure, keyword density, XML sitemap, unique content......
Then you can start your off page seo(link builing)

Yes that is almost all finished up. I was basically looking at next steps..To show Google that my site is live and start to rank me before the back linking process..

Maybe a PR
Social shares
Announcement network etc..

Just didn't know if someone had a small list of good practices once the site was complete.

On page seo must be done and you have to do internal linking strategy also with that you can get some back links then you can start keyword search and you can do online submission.

That's pretty much all you need for a local business site. It would be different if you were launching a large blog and would require the essential blogging plugins.

Along with GA, I like to add Clicky Analytics as well. You should give it a try.

What a lot don't install or know about, and really should is Google Analytic's custom dashboards.
This gives you far more of an insight to areas of your site, you otherwise wouldn't have on the default Google Dashboard.

Heres a link where you can install each one in just one click - after you have fully installed GA.
simply make sure your logged in when downloading these and they will automatically install in seconds. Giving you so much more of an insight.

CUSTOM DASHBOARDS FOR GOOGLE ANALYTICS

The article and info on the above site will guide you in everything you need to know, regular tutorials and not an affiliate in sight!

Next,
You need to map out your strategy and consider how your going to market this site.

I really do mean market it not just throw your self into the pit of blinding building back links.
Honest to god you will end up in a hell hole and the site will be update food before you know it.

Submit the site to the leading search engines let them know its ready to be indexed, when of course it is.
Then begin by setting up Google Business and get the business verified as a business asap,

Then you need to build quality citations,
This again can be a mind field and take masses of time to find quality directories to list with.
The one thing with citations is make sure the business details are CONSISTENT, but make the content in the descriptions unique.

THE ULTIMATE CITATIONS LIST 2014 / 2015

Followed by another must, which is social bookmarking.
Again same applies, make sure the titles, and descriptions for EACH are unique, this is SO important.

The above will take you some time, and so it should.
Dont dive in is my advice. We've all had to start somewhere and starting out correctly is far more beneficial that heading down a route chasing any links you can get.

Once that's been done, - you should have already completed keyword research and created targeted keyword written content for each web page.

If not, do that NEXT.

Than rushing in gaining 1000 back links from god knows where, in no time at all, that have no relevancy to the site and worse you have no access to remove them! and your site gets penalized due to low quality spam links.

You need to keep track of EVERY single link you build keeping in mind there may be a day that you need to remove them.

Then your site will be penalized and you risk chasing tool after tool to try and do the job the self acclaimed "Gurus' tell you is possible. Believe me its not.

However that being said,
there are some tools that you need, as with anything - tools of the trade but stay away from Black Hat shit.
Learn and build your links manually, yourself one by one with quality content, results will take longer, but they'll also last longer and be 1000 times more valuable to rankings than any Black Hat software or affiliate will sell you.

Its a great industry that's got a very bad name to these types, and also its usually folks like you that have a grasp on web development that do get sucked into the vortex a lot easier as your keen to get the site you've just developed ranked and provide SEO. Its not that easy. Not the right way and any black hat method or rushing in blind all efforts will fail and the site and you will get nowhere!

I get that, I really do and admire that.
But take your first steps wisely and SLOWLY, learn correctly its an amazing industry to be part of.

as I'm sure you've put your heart and sole into this site.

Let it be the 1st of many in the success and understanding of SEO.

Be patient and don't fall into the Black Hat SEO vortex.
Its short lived glory that gains you nothing at all, demoralizes you and ruins the site.
