Tool for checking SERP

I need to know that i never tried any tool for checking SERPs but i do it manually but it sometimes hectic for loads of keywords so you guys do it manually or do it via some tool?
I heard that it can hurt your rankings in google if you use such tool so let me know your thoughts about it and also if you are using any tool for checking your SERP for some keyword. Also are they 100% accurate?

    first i use 'Rank Checker'..a firefox plugin that lets you check your SERP...but its not accurate but at least it gives you the idea where are your standings..then im checking it manually...

      I try to do it as much manually as possible. But sometime, I do use this position checker to get the idea about rankings in SERPs. Although, I never heard about your rankings getting hurt if you use such a tool. Can anybody add a resource if this is true?

    Thanks to all of you guys for letting me know about these tools.
    @ pluto1.. i was myself a bit confused about that statement and i don't have any resource because some of my friend told me about that and it would be good if someone put some light on this matter

    I never depend on these tools, Always, go to google, go advanced SEARCH, select 100 results, then search manually... it helps rather than tools......

    I tried Rank Checker tool. I have also heard that it can hurt ranking in google. I don't think it heart. Its better to do manually but sometime you can use Rank Checker tool to save your time and i think it is not 100% accurate.

      I use Webceo, the free version will check rankings across multiple sites and for any selection of keywords.

      Works great and you can configure it to check slowly so that you don't generate multiple requests from same IP and trigger the spam/virus page from google.

      I've heard the rumours about checking your rankings causing problems but I don't buy it. If I did I could run checks on all my competitors every day and get them deindexed

      I've run these checks sometimes daily for lots of sites for many years without any problems.

    I have been usign IPB for 3 years and it is by far my favorite! I can check over 100 keywords on Google, Yahoo, and Bing in just one Hour....and it spits out a nice report...and I can compare to the past to see how I am doing.

    Thanks for the Webceo free version tool. By the way i know that the results are never accurate and i myself check it manually afterwards but it atleast it gives you an idea and you can check it around that number of page instead of checking all the pages
    I myself know the difference so i always satisfy myself by checking it manually as well.
