Need help to upgrade from urchin code to universal analytics

Dear All,

I have an old website which is using urchin code version of Google analytics and i am able to properly track data also. But now i want to upgrade to universal analytics. Should i delete the existing urchin code from website pages and then add the universal code or keep both the old and new codes?Will deleting the existing urchin code effect tracking?

Pls give your valuable suggestions.

    In the Google analytics account of website, the Tracking code has already upgraded to Universal Analytics. In websitei have the same code but in urchin format. So can i just directly add the universal analytics in website because UA is same by replacing the urchin. Will data get affected.

    Can anyone pls help..
