Hi,

What I was thinking is, first, to create a tracking URL from https://support.google.com/analytics...33867?hl=en-GB and then shorten the URL using goo.gl. But can Google analytics will show its tracking results? I am curious to know if anybody has ever tried it.

Thank you

The clicks on these links will appear in GA with all the relevant campaign/source/medium/etc info you tagged them with in the GA URL Builder. That info is picked up from the query string of the URL via the GA javascript snippet on your webpage, and that's all still present and unaltered after any redirects from shortening services. The only thing you lose is, as Randall said, the referring URL (sometimes).

You can track any URL online or offline with hashtags, in OPs case of a short URL the link flow would be like this:
    • goo.gl > yourdomain.com#tracking-keyword-here
    • goo.gl > yourdomain.com/internal-page#tracking-keyword-here
