Re: Public domain - Can it be sold?

PD can be edited, sold or you can do virtually anything with it.

See my site (sig). I'm giving my members 4 PD packages every month.

Re: Marketers Who Are Just Too Smart for Their Own Good (e.g. PLR)

But still you can't just paraphrase (rewrite, spin) the copyrighted content. That would be a derivative work and you'd need copyright holder's permission to create such a thing.

I'm sure you know...

Re: Start with the *idea*

You don't really need PLR content to get ideas. You can get them from any book and turn them into your own product because "ideas" aren't copyrightable.

Re: Membership Site Levels - Suggestions

Yeah, Ariely's book is great. The other example presented by Ariely was The Economist's subscription offer:

1. online version only, $60
2. printed version only, $120
3. online & printed version,...

Re: Membership Site Levels - Suggestions

Don't overcomplicate it. Make 2 levels. The less choice your prospect has, the better. On the other have always a premium version of your product. There's always someone that wants premium whatever....

Re: They were right - creating your own product is the way to go

Take a look at my previous posts. I don't like PLR at all.

Instead of selling "unique" things (that are most likely a rehash) I'd rather sell something good.

Re: Marketers Who Are Just Too Smart for Their Own Good (e.g. PLR)

The problem with PLR is that PLR content is mostly of poor quality. It's about quantity most of the time.

Why would the original author care about the quality if his/her name doesn't end up on...

Re: They were right - creating your own product is the way to go

I'd say that selling your own product is the way to go. Creating it on your own is both time consuming and risky. You never know if something you slaved over for weeks or months will ever sell.

Re: Your Best Opt-In Grabber Idea?

Re: Is it wise to use humour in your squeeze page

Using humour is a risky business. Most people either don't have a sense of humor or just don't understand jokes.

Re: What Do You Think Of This Sales Letter By The Secret Teacher Joe Vitale...?

Lack of SSL is a big no-no.

I think I've seen one of Yanik's products sold in a similar way. That was long time ago though.

It's hard to speculate. I'm sure Vitale is just testing.
