Slideshare is a bit tricky. Any user from SS can flag your slide and the Slideshare team will delete your account. All your work will be lost..But the truth is slides from SS are very good to rank high in Google if your keyword have not high competition

  Yes if you want to get targeted traffic really quickly then paid traffic is the way to go. Not everyone can afford it though.
