    Obviously, they place your link on the website.

    What if you don't pay money?

    This just mean that it will take a little bit hard work and some time to have your backlinks established.

    So if you don't have money to establish backlinks, the only viable option is to write quality content (whether on your own blog, website, forums, social media etc.)

    Crux of the matter is that there is a cost to everything. Either you pay in money or in the form of your time.
