Beta Testers Needed

Hey Warriors,

I have a new software that I will need beta testers for...not giving details here, but I just wanted to know where is the right place to do it...should I do it here, or pay for the WANTED ad?

I would say that depends on how many testers you want and if they have to be from a specific group of people. If your software is specific in nature (probably is) then I would think it would be best to approach a group of people (possibly individually) you know are familiar with what it is your software does or the process / function it is supposed to do.

Least that's what I did and I am quite happy with the group of testers we have.

  There are websites out there that focus on providing user testing and bug testing services. If you're willing to test some money to get it done you could try looking at something like Outsource to Freelancers, IT Companies, Programmers, Web Designers from India, Russia, USA, and more or Low cost usability testing - UserTesting.com

I agree with Rsberg on narrowing your audience to potential real users - I would try to find a forum specific to the type of software you made, and request testers there.

Thanks for the insight...makes sense to narrow it down. This is a membership based site that allows folks to completely manage multiple twitter accounts so I will search some threads about Twitter and offer up free memberships to folks there, thanks again!
