First, thanks for that list. Try submit articles manually in almost all of them would be very time consuming. I may try to use a few of them that are related to my niche.

just been looking through the forum and found the toppic. As I am a newbie, I startet my own article directory just a week ago as think, its relatively easy to get traffic with this... and guess what: It is!

Just after 2 days I was ranked on #1 on google with my site name, which is also my URL. Yesterday I changed the meta description and found my site on page 2. Well, I'll be back on 1.

As the topic is article directories, I just wanted to give you my site URL also, although it still has PR 0 after a week. But I try really to get it to 3 or 4 asap.

The directory is: link building articles

Now I also have a question. Traffic is coming in, about 500-800 visitors/day right now. I have it on auto approve, although I say in the terms that I will manually check each article, but time is the problem right now. Also I know, that many are working with software, so I just did a liitle bit of restriction on it, like banned the same IP for registration purposes.
Anyway, my problem is still, how I can monetize my directory the right way? Maybe some of you more experienced IMer can help me with that.

I have a few adsense on it, clickbank in posts and also promoting one clickbank product with 3 banners and a pop-under.

I REALLY appreciate any help on this. My goal settings were to make $100/day, but I am still at the 0 level. So maybe anyone knows what will be the right thing to do. And of course I am trying to build links by myself and to get a top google ranking in order to receive more visitors.

Thanks right away to all of you which can give a newbie some hints to be successful in the future. And I think my goal is ok, as I know there are many, many out there who make about 10 times more a day.

To answer some questions:

Yes, you can use Article Marketing Robot to submit to these directories - this is where I found them. After submitting a lot of articles and consistently grabbing the live links, I was able to compile these URLs from many live link reports I had for articles. I used Scrape Box to remove duplicate URLs and also to sort them by PR before compiling them as they are now.

Yes, some of these directories do not work anymore. The webmasters for whatever reasons have ceased to maintain their site. The vast majority of the directories are still active.

I'm not sure how many are "dofollow", but I know there are many in there. Most article directories are "dofollow" (Ezine) because it helps incentivize submissions.
