Hi Fellow Warriors

i wanted to write this to share my experience over the last month with searching for Joint Ventures in this part of the Forum.

Most of the ones that say things like "JV with me and earn over 10k a month" or " I will personally mentor you to earn x amount a month and we will split 50/50" "My current business is making 100k a month and I need to people to help me"
Well most of these are people trying to get you to sign up to the Empower network. They get paid every time you sign up so be careful. They don't mention any of this in there original post they make it sound like a direct JV with themselves.

I also fell for a scam that involved working with a member to promote traffic to his site, he says he was making 10k a month on advertising and led me to believe it was true and I would get a share, I invested £100 into his site and started following his plan to get traffic.

I didn't see any money coming back my way which I should have seen as a warning, however he than talked me into selling a site for him on Flippa which he listed for 11k and said I would get 20%. Obviously like an idiot I agreed and payed the listing fee and the extra fees to get it to the front page.

Eventually the site sold for just 2k and it was left up to me to stay in contact with the new buyer. I than didn't hear anything for a week, the buyer had only got half a site and I had to do me best to calm him down and try and sort it.

It wasn't until the buyer threatened the guy with legal action that he got the rest of the site.

I than got an email telling me its all fine and I would get my money he was just transferring it to Paypal and that was the last I heard, That was over a week ago and I haven't heard anything at all. I have sent him endless emails but nothing.

So all in all i am £300 out of pocket....

I am now seeking legal action myself, so hopefully I will track him down.

I just wanted to post this as a warning to any honest new members looking for JV's or business opportunities, please be careful. even if the member has got a lot of posts as I found out it doesn't mean anything...

I think the warrior forum is an awesome site and its a shame there is some people here ripping people off.

    Thanks mate,
I am pretty aware of the goods and bads of this forum, and eventhough there is potential to do good, so many use this forum for scamming and handing out useless products as WSO's.

It's just upto the buyer ie the newer members to be careful and sort good from the bad.

I am not happy that you got scammed but nonetheless , you have a fault in this too, you are culpable too to some extent, but nevertheless sorry.

      Barry,

I believe you're confusing "responsible" and "culpable." The word "culpable" is generally used in reference to actions which do harm to someone else, normally through negligence or malice.

Doesn't fit the situation. At all.

It sucks, but it is your fault as well.
When you get to someones site, and it re-directs to the Empower Network... what does that tell you?
I have seen this a few times. I think there is someone now talking about making $1k a day in 7 days or something. Referring to the Empower Network.
You invested money in someone. Didn't you read the thread, "Stop Asking For Money"???
You have never met these people. If someone is making $10k a month from their site, you think they would give you a piece for $100??? Really? Then he "talked" you into doing more?

You need to cut your losses and stay outta the JV section for now.
    Browse the other sections.

  • It is a shame people feel they have scam. Sure you can get some short term results but they are not looking at the big picture of a long term partnership that will pay off far more than just ripping people off. These losers really need to get a life.

Always get a contract in place if there is significant money involved. Even if this is a simple letter you have them sign and fax back.
