It depends on the niche you choose. Technical stuff usually gets lots of attention on G+. And Pinterest users tend to love fashion - because the majority of them are women. So yeah select carefully according to your niche!

I agree on this. I've noticed that most of the content on G+ is about technology. And because Pinterest is mainly about images and boards, it is a perfect target for niches that need to highlight pictures of products, such as fashion, home improvement, etc.

I am in the internet marketing niche and I agree with you in theory. However, certainly over the past 12 months I have gotten less and less traffic from G+ and more and more from Pinterest. I dedicate an equal amount of time and attention to each (amongst others).

The only time I have found really good traffic from G+ is when I have sent posts to not only my circles, but to my extended circles too. But everytime I have done this Google message me with breaking their rules and accusing me of spam, which is ridiculous. I used to love G+ but now think it is more hassle than it's worth.

I guess I agree with you. Moreover according to my experience Google+ is more profitable.

This is going to sound sexist, but if your niche targets men, Google+ and if it targets women, Pinterest. I'm sure there are plenty of dudes of Pinterest, but it's mostly a girl site full of girlie things. I LOVE Pinterest, and I've tried to show my husband how cool it is 900 times, but he just doesn't have the right chromosomes for it... It's a girl thing.

Go where your customers are! Just one look at the Pinterest home page and you can easily see the main audience or Pinterest user is female. Lots of wedding, beauty and home related pins going on there. Also, I have seen a fair amount of SEO/internet marketing infographic pins. So, maybe marketing is a new niche to explore there. Early adopters will be glad later they got in on this site.

It really isn't that hard to target both and see what delivers the best for you.

If you have a good graphic it it pretty quick to share on Pinterest so why not? and likewise if you are going to promote on social media you going to do as many as possible working down the list to generate traffic and social inks so thinking one is better than another is probably not the best way to perceive either as in my opinion more exposure is better regardless .

    A plain answer is both.
Only that it differs on what gender you are targeting to. If you need more women to visit your site, then go for Pinterest. A fair ratio of women and men, Google Plus has several great communities that are worth enough in providing more visits to your site.

Both are good websites with good traffic. Google Plus is used for link sharing and distributions of your content with your friends and followers. Pinterest is used for photo sharing with your friends and followers.

You can create a separate page your company, business or ngo organization.

According to me use both website to get traffic and generate leads.

It depends upon the kind of business that you'll be running. If your business is the one that can be portrayed creatively through pictures then piterest is a good option, but at the same time Google+ has a lot of potential too. Why don't you use the good side of both?

I prefer Google plus to the other social media platform. I have some reasons that I will say that Google plus is better. First, its interface is super friendly. Any user who has very minimal technology skills can use google plus. I have Pinterest because it has a totally cluttered homepage. This makes it even difficult for users to navigate along. I would therefore urge you to use Google plus since its is a bit easier and has active members. Trying to make a conclusion on how many people today own gmail accounts, trust me they are millions. This shows the easy you can reach the people on google plus than pinterest.

Well, it all depends on your niche. I love Google Plus. It has many not spammed communites with real followers, it's easy to connect with people, and build traffic. Pinterest can be great for anything visual. But it's more difficult for newbies to master it.

It depends on what you sell and whom you are selling to.

More than 80% of Pinterest users are females between 18 and 35 .
More than 60% of Google+ users are males who are inclined towards technology.

Now, where does your niche fit?

    Without debates - G +.

It's good for your SEO rankings and you could get much more organic traffic with G + than with Pinterest. It's a much quicker way to gain success.

This post is extremely helpful and should be taken into consideration anyone looking to dominate these two markets and what/how to market to these groups.

I personally find Pinterest much more efficient in terms of traffic, opt ins, sales, etc.

You really can't go wrong with Pinterest.
