    It's not essential for a company to be on pinterest unless the company is a kinda graphic focused or it deals with graphics a lot.

    Pinterest is best one social media website.but it effects according with your niche .If your business deals in Fashion,Graphics,Glamour,Beauty products ,apparel etc.then pinterest works for you like a pioneer.Its very effective if work effectively on it.

      There are many threads on Pinterest here on the forum you can read to get ideas. From the little I have read on it there is a lot of traffic to be had from Pinterest. For me personally I have not used it yet. Pinterest is no different then any other social media marketing. If you use it correctly it works. However, it is not going to make or break your success as long as you are getting quality traffic in other ways.

      Sorry, but I don't agree with your point. Pinterest is very helpful to create a backlink and also for business purpose. Recently I found one Webifly blog which deals the importance for a company to be on Pinterest. So read this.

      I cannot agree with you. In some cases it might be just a huge waste of time and resources. Pinterest (as well as Instagram) should be used as a promotion platform only for those projects that are somehow connected with graphics. From my perspective, it's absolutely pointless to promote some products through picture-sharing social media.

    Pinterest is a good source for traffic for companies.

    It doesn't need the same kind of focus and attention that Facebook requires and it is one of those type of platforms that continues to send traffic from old uploads.

    If you have a product or range of products or a brand that appeals to women then Pinterest can drive some good traffic.

    At first I thought it a waste of time but I've had some good results from fairly minimal input.

    I kinda feel the results over time for free "Buying" traffic from pinterest would eclipse the buying traffic from FB if you take advertising out of the mix.

    It is like many things you need to have some presence and then measure the results over time to work out how much time or money you should allocate to the platform.

    For every social media platform there is a necessity as a business owner to test it out and if you see results as in a positive ROI then you put in more time or money...mostly both.
