How many clicks from Twitter?

I'm interested in how much traffic Twitter can generate. I know the answer is, "It depends." But I'm just looking for your personal experiences.

How many Twitter followers do you have, and how many clickthroughs do you typically get if you post a link to your content?

    I have 3000 follow on twitter. When i post link i have 20-30 visits click on link

    I have never really used Twitter as a marketing tool and my account is a personal one. However, I set up a website about a year ago and decide to test the waters with Twitter. I posted one tweet saying they would have to find the info on my website and tweet back to me. It got about 50 click through. That's out of 2000 followers.

    Not much. From 4 accounts and 1500-2000 followers on each I have about 5-10 clicks, much more I have retweets or add to favorite

    You can use Twitter's pay per click platform. If you do, this will surely get you more followers. But be prepared to spend money and more per click then you would using a pay per click engine like Google and Yahoo.

    There are some courses out there that do teach you how to do effective twitter pay per click and I would recommend that you get a hold on one because if you don't know what you are doing, you can pay as much as $1-$3 per real click on your link.

    If you are looking to get clicks from followers for free, I would follow as many people there who are in your niche.

    Thanks, this is just the feedback I was looking for. I'm trying to build my account but I was also trying to figure out if it's worth all the hard work. I want to choose one main traffic-driving channel for my site, and supplement with other channels. I do like like Twitter because you can get the followers for free and Twitter is not limiting reach the way FB is. But it looks like you need to have tons and ton of followers to get much traction for free.

    From my expirience twitter users dont click that often. The follower / conversion ratio is where low. However I love twitter because its so easy to manage and grow.

    use Facebook and Google plus.Twitter is not so effective.

    It's possible to generate traffic from Twitter, but you'll have to be very consistent and post often at the peak time.

    There aren't really any guarantees. I have well over 25,000 followers, but sometimes a link may receive less than 100 clicks. I've also been on Twitter since 2007, so a good portion of my followers likely aren't active anymore. It is what it is.
