Google+ Even Worth It?

That's nothing against you OP, I've been asking myself the exact same question. That's why your title got my attention.

From where I'm sitting they just don't seem to be able to get any traction at all.

G+ was a Google failure. They wanted emulate Facebook/Twitter but they obteined not the same result, as we can see.

I suggest you to promote your services throught Facebook and Twitter, after that instagram if it possible.
I would use G+ only as integration.

G authorship is actually dead so no plus there, on the other hand I do think G+ can actually be a big help if you're in the right niches like internet marketing, business, there are a lot of active communities on these topics( might be more, haven't checked them all) so you can get leads and traffic from G+ . Another plus is they are a little more permissive than other platforms with that you post and do there. This being said, I wouldn't do this my main advertising platform but it's good not to disregard it completely.

G+ is great for local SEO
Getting reviewed on G+ will increase leverage on Google Maps and Natural listings on Local SEO terms.

Worth the time

It certainly doesn't hurt, but honestly? Posting on Google+ could be a waste of your time. You're better off sharing your content on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.

Google plus is very important in SEO to promote your website.

Its definitely worth it. It only takes a few minutes to set up and you can easily syndicate content from your FB page or blog to G+. I get over 25K hits a month on one of my G+ pages. Good luck trying to get that kind of organic reach from Facebook.

Feel free to try ANY social network and any other place to get result.

Finally GPlus is not the BEST one, but it not the last one.
Using G+ as a single area is wrong.. however add it to your marketing strategy it's pretty good idea have to say

You get out what you put in. I've been on Google+ for about 2 years now and it has proven to be very effective. No one person can tell you which social network you're going to succeed in, you just have to jump in and give it a whirl to see if that's where your audience is.

As far as the authorship deal, the title is gone, but Google still sees it as relevant through Author Rank.

I enjoy Google+, I know there's a lot of people that have voted against it here, but that should have no matter in your own opinion. Get in there, get involved, go to hangouts, engage in communities...after a while measure your engagement. It's not about the numbers, because there are people that have over 100k followers that get no engagement vs people that have 7k and get a ton.

Google+ (IMO) is the best place to bring conversation to your brand and make people aware of what you're doing. I'm not trying to throw punches at you for asking the question, but the answer will be revealed after you take some time to immerse yourself into the network.

G+ is generally great for technical information kind of niche... there are a lot of technical enthusiasts in G+, as I've been experimenting this with some of my niche sites and got quite a nice amount of engagement.

BUT I have to say, it's very boring (just a personal opinion!). Other than that, G+ is a definite must have backlink source for you site, even though they're all nofollow links.

Google+ is only good for Social Signals which means it's great for SEO.

My tip: Post 2 -3 updated on there everyday which includee the keywords you are targeting. Then add some google+1's to your posts and google will like your website more and more.

Google plus is not good as it used to be. Our business promoted on Google plus before, but now, we have looked for other new media. It shows better impact.

It depends on what you're trying to achieve with Google+. If you wanna grow your sales funnel and your targeted audience is there on this platform, then it's perfect. Google+ is a good tool to build relationship with people, not Google, when it comes to making money online.
