Has anybody here had much sucess advertising on Instagram?

I Did my first advert and had a prohibited content decline, Which is quite unusual as it's a sports supplement and is always fine if I select 18+ as the targeting and Facebook have even said it's sweet in the past.

Don't usually get ads declined, is instagram more strict? I've appealed it to see what they say, maybe it's a mistake.

Generally haven't advertised on this API before, so was wondering if there's anything I should know.

Cheers!

I haven't tried Instagram ads yet. I actually have to see if it's available to me. Hopefully in your case it was a mistake unless they think your sports stuff is copyrighted and that's why they turned it down. Who knows. Hopefully they get back to you with a reason so you know.

If Instagram ads are available to me I think I will start off promoting and iPhone flappy bird style ios game I picked up from Flippa to see if it gets a decent amount of downloads(installs). Hopefully I can make ad revenue and with upgrades to my pro version of the game which is the same just ad free.

I've already seen a few app ads. And with the app store just a tap away from inside your instagram ads I'm hoping on some good conversions.

I honestly think Facebook is a better way to go. Instagram isn't that common to post adds on, so I've never tried it.

Instagram is opened for ads recently, it's new so the price is low. But honestly I still prefer Facebook.

Tons of issues getting Instagram ads up and running at the moment, but from the few I've talked to that have run them, they're saying the cost per click is like old Facebook ($0.04 - $0.36). But it seems quite consumer focused, I'm hoping to start using it in the coming week to try targeting int he b2b space.

Instagram has worked perfectly well for me. Yes, they are extremely picky on the quality of pictures and there are tons of restrictions (no product pics, no logos etc.). But when you manage to get through, Instagram really generates a lot of views and clicks for a very moderate price (twice lower than Facebook and even cheaper). So yes, I'd highly recommend to test Instagram ads!

Maybe that's why it got declined, because I used a product image shot?

I believe Instagram has only opened up their advertising platform to companies who have a established relationship through Facebook ads - they are not letting just anyone to run ads just yet. The targeting capabilities are great.

I have an Instagram and Snapchat influencer marketing company - if you are looking to run an ad placement amongst individuals with trusted voices in their niche and then having the capability to run an Instagram Feed Ad with the content my company produces - send me a message and lets chat.

I provide analytics with all my influencer campaigns + able to track CTR and CPA's through a recent integration my software system did.

Influencer marketing right now is killing it, advertisers are seeing an ROI of over $9 for every $1 spent which is an increase of 28% from last year.

Instagram Influencer marketing is VERY powerful if strategized properly with the right message, influencer, time and date and positioning in photo.

Does anyone know what their attitude towards MMO ads are?

As long as it is clean - you should be okay with it. Have you ever considered running Instagram Influencer campaign for your gaming ads - I have plenty of hot chicks in my database that have cost effective prices in comparison to niche based influencers.

There audience is mostly males - they are the seen as the hot babes showing a lot of skin on Instagram and we can definitely seed products such as gaming apps across their feed with them in it + creating CTA for their audience.

Send me a DM and we can chat in further detail.

Whoops been spending too much time in the gaming vertical long - read MMO completely differently.

When it comes to Making Money Online - I would advise the classic approach starting your own Instagram Profile brand page with compelling content + run promo codes, share experiences and create limited OTOs.

Just like back in the day with MMO marketing on CL but now visual based and showing proof. Today's consumers are smarter than ever they want validation it works/real prior to purchasing.

Best practice to begin and test is by targeting users from like minded profiles that have mass followings on Instagram. Go after their audience and start engaging - consistent content production is key use hashtags. Once you have this then start Instagram In Feed Advertising - you'll get the most from your ad spend. People are more in tuned to engage with a brand who has an IG presence than not - it validates to them it is real.

Feel free to DM me and we can connect and chat into further detail.

That seems like a SCAM software? Anybody else has experience with the software? Can it get your Facebook Ad account banned?

I have the software, previously they are the devs for Social Lead Freak and Sneaky Freak, and they also have the monthly membership called powerfreakclub, it's pricy, but I've had successes with their products in the past, so I'm sticking to the membership, but currently doing something else so I can't really do much to try

SIF is an adobe air program, it needs to connect through a facebook app, and then you can basically create an ad from the SIF platform

have yet to try them since I've been busy setting up a new shop, and my current employer is hesitating to let me connect anything to the shared business account

after I've tried the facebook page ads and connect them to instagram ads, I'll mention something here

but dont expect that to happen in 1-2 days thought, might take me awhile since we're setting up a lot of things before we shoutout the ads
