Does FB send more traffic to begin with?

For those who manage FB pages, have you noticed that your page updates get a lot more reach when you first start and then the traffic drops off considerably? I am thinking this is an obvious tactic they use to get you to do paid advertising. Thoughts?

    I sure don't understand the things they do sometimes since they are so secretive about it and are pretty difficult to interact with. Plus the updates are mostly unannounced.

    i think facebook has lot of potential for getting traffic to your blog ...mainly form FB groups and pages...but you need to more consistent with your blog post and sharing in FB....if you stop sharing and posting...your traffic will drop as well
