Need Advice: Starting social media from scratch

Hi everyone, good day to you all!

I'm seeking social media marketing/branding advice and I wondered if you could provide some helpful info on the subject.

I am a musician and I've recently considered pursuing the trade somewhat more professionally.

The social media accounts that I use (Namely SoundCloud, Twitter, YouTube etc.) have been the same ones I used when I started out just as a hobby.

I knew very little back then about how to use social media effectively, and so as a result, my accounts have grown inconsistently, i,e random and irrelevant followers/following (with low ratios) slight variations of the same handle name, irregular, inconsistent content posting etc.

To be blunt, I can only describe my social media presence as 'amateur-like'.

This simply won't cut it in today's competitive market, so my dilemma, and the ultimate question is:

Should I just restart all of my social media activities again from scratch, with a strategy this time?

Its really bugging me as I want to just start all over again, including a new email name to link them all to.

My only concern is losing some of the genuine followers I have attracted along the way, although they are few.

Does the clarity of having clean social media accounts outweigh the loss of a few followers?

I would love to know your suggestions on this issue and I look forward to your responses,

Much thanks : )

I have been researching this recently and wanted to use automation for it but it seems a right nightmare due to the best bots out there being shut down. You may want to look into the follow/unfollow method but its not really something I want to go with myself.

I don't see any good reason why you should delete the profiles and start all over again. You can just:

    - delete irrelevant images and videos
    - use the same branding on all profiles (the same profile name, same profile image, same profile description, cover image etc.)
    - then be consistent on all profiles

When someone lands on any of your profiles, they should immediately recognize that it's yours.

From my experience, be super duper duper social on social media. Follow pro musicians. Follow amateur musicians. Comment genuinely on their updates. Share their content. Grab attention spans by giving attention to folks in your niche. I see it as being the simplest way to make a splash on social.

There is no need to delete your profiles and start from scratch. It's tedious and won't make any difference. Just keep going, use a tool like Jarvee or similar.
