It's to my understanding that some advertisers and sponsors would want to create an ad campaign with an Instagram account that has a lot of followers.

And in YouTube, one could monetize their videos.

But what about in Twitter?

    Yep; sponsored tweets exist. I have been paid for a few of my tweets from advertisers. The key is to engage your followers, help people by tweeting super content and to persist in building your following.
