Hi there,

Wanted to get some advice on Facebook Pixels.

I was going to add the pixel to my website as I'm planning on running a lead gen Facebook ad.

I wondered if there are any pitfalls I should be aware of in relation to getting banned with the Facebook pixel and if it's even worth setting one up in the first place?

Thanks

    Hi, Elena Base.

Facebook Pixel is actually really helpful for me. It tracks down the conversion on your Facebook ads so it is a great tool when it comes to lead generation and data insights. However, if your account has something out of the norm, you will get banned since Facebook pixel crawls on your site.

      Thanks Loren,

Any examples of what out of the norm could be? Do you need to have an SSL certificate for example? (Even if you're not collecting payments through your website).

The Facebook pixel is a piece of code (called a "cookie") that Facebook provides. Once it's in place on your website, you can track actions that take place on your web pages and link them back to your Facebook ad accounts.

Facebook pixel is very useful also for Facebook remarketing ads towards the visitors. It acts as a reminder of the website page they visited. Its very useful to promote a product/service they have seen in your site and offer it with a coupon/discount.

A Facebook pixel is code that you place on your website. It helps you track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads based on collected data, build targeted audiences for future ads, and remarked to qualified leads--people who have already taken some kind of action on your website.
It works by placing and triggering cookies to track users as they interact with your website and your Facebook ads.
