Question About Blogging And FB

Hey everyone!

I just have a general question in regards to posting content on FB. Do I need a blog in order to post longer content on FB? I'm getting lots of new likes and need to start posting content, other then just reverting my customers to etsy. What are your suggestions?

Well, on facebook, you have option to create a note - which you can organize your post like a blog post. You can use that feature, no need to setup a website if you are in budget.

No you don't. If it's quite long you can create a note and put your content in there. But there are certain things you can do if you have a blog. Like when you post the link to your blog, it gets more attention than that of just using the note on FB.

No, you do not need the blog to post content on the FB. You can post text post with image, infographic etc. to promote anything.

    Hi teddyjames,

Definitely go with a blog buddy.

Blogs are content central; publish articles, videos, podcasts and post to your blog to build your authority and to get more pop on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.

You rent space on Facebook and Etsy; one policy change and your online business can vanish. Instantly. But owning a self-hosted Wordpress.org blog ensures you call the shots; no longer a cyber squatter, you own the blog.

This is why it's smart to make your blog the central point for your business; you own it, can brand it and customize it to your liking and can sell virtually any product or service through it, along with sharing all types of free content through it. No brainer.

Share interesting articles, videos and images. It is one that can most attract people.

Yes you can post the longer content such as Blogs on the Facebook and for getting traffic on your store join relevant groups and share the informative content here with including your store URL's.

The investment in a hosted site makes sense. Considering I'm going after a massive niche, I want to have awesome content. Anybody in the gluten free niche?

You do not need to have a blog to insert long content on your Facebook posts. My best converting ads are fairly short. However, the products/offers I have promoted are not high ticket. But, you could really gain by testing how the length and content of your posts affects your conversion rate.

The advantages of posting from a blog to a Facebook Group are numerous, and too many to point out in this brief reply. But I would highly recommend setting a simple blog up because, as some others have said, I am amazed at the synergizing effect my blogs have when I post back and forth in a Facebook Group. There is a way to post that gets you very little response, and a way that will create excitement and get you great response. Its just like Facebook ads - master the art of the post - If you spend less than 10 minutes on these teaser posts, you probably aren't giving it due diligence.
