The pros are they give you a platform to connect with a lot of people.

The cons are just because you can, doesn't mean you will or that you'll do it in a way that will help your business.

This forum has a sub-forum for social media. You might want to ask more specific questions there if you're trying to determine which platform is best for your business.

Also, welcome to a fellow Floridian!

The pros of marketing on all platforms Stacey: you have fun building a thriving online business. Thumbs up

The cons of marketing on all platforms buddy: you have fun building a thriving online business over years. Thumbs down

Nobody wants to spend years doing something meaningful, beneficial and lasting. I'd not engage in persistent work.

Joking of course! No cons exist. Because the time con/downside is a ludicrous creation of mind. It takes persistent work to grow a business through social or Warrior but to say it's a con is like saying building a mansion on a foundation of rock solid granite over years is a con. What's the alternative? Building it on quicksand?

I dig social, and Warrior. Fab places to serve folks and make friends. Serving folks and making friends grows business.

Thank you for your responses everyone. Special thanks for the welcome from my fellow Floridian!! As you suggested, I should be more specific, as I am trying to determine the best platform for my business. I have a small business offline carrying a range of natural bath and body products. I am currently using Instagram and Facebook for Social Media. My Instagram efforts are growing quickly, but Facebook is hardly gaining attention, and I am doing the same posts on both platforms, so I'm not sure what I may be doing that is causing Facebook to not be as responsive. Your feedback on this is appreciated.

Are you posting from your personal Facebook page or a business page?

Are you running ads or just doing regular posts?

Are you trying to get direct sales or get people to sign up for a mailing list or visit your website?

I am posting from my business page, and currently doing regular posts. I have accumulated a lot of emails, but I haven't started an email campaign yet, as I feel "catchy" content writing is not my strength at the moment. I had someone that started to do some writing for me, but she had an unfortunate situation that occurred, so her attention had to be diverted. Now I am looking for someone else to assist me with the writing.

    Hey There,

Are you posting in targeted groups for your niche or from your business/personal page?

If you are just posting on your personal/business page, I'd recommend digging deep into groups that are targeted for your niche.

I am posting on business page, but I would look into groups that are targeted for my niche as you suggested. Thank you.

You can also consider starting your own group. You would need to make posts that offer value without trying to constantly sell.

In the group you can also make videos demonstrating your products and how they work.

Get your friends and customers to join, then have them share and ask their friends to join.

Give away discount coupons or prizes sometimes.

I wouldn't worry about the venues you market on . . . until you define your perfect prospect (some call it a "customer avatar"). Once you understand who needs/wants/desires what you have to sell, then it is time to find out where those prospects can be reached online (the venues).

You do focused market research online to help you understand what your prospects are wanting to buy, what alternatives they currently have (your competition), what market price points exist already, and where you can approach these prospects with your own offers.

So my opinion about social media and Warrior Forum marketing is simply this: all venues have both pros and cons but the only ones you should be concerned about are those that will allow you to target your marketing in such a way that you can approach your audience profitably (that is, spend less on marketing than you get back in your product sales). The only way you can find out if marketing is profitable is through some testing of your offers on a small scale, then optimizing for better results, and tracking the outcomes of your tests. Begin small and only scale up when you are happy with the results.

Don't rely on other people's experience in marketing on specific social media sites because their niche is different than yours, as are their products different than yours, their targeted prospects are different, and so is their timing, their marketing resources, and their actual sales marketing materials (like the copy in their sales letter).

Don't assume you will duplicate what is working for others . . . your mileage will vary!

    The best to you,

And how can you promote anything on Linked? Can anyone share the experience?

Each one of these platforms is a learning curve in 'itself'.

You have to find (1) that resonates with you and come from a point of 'giving' value.

I know some people on Facebook personally who have already replaced their income entirely with FB alone and by using their personal profiles.

But they come from a place of being a servant leader.

    Look into Attraction Marketing.

In my opinion, in these giants of advertising and marketing, the advantages are much greater than the minuses. For example, even communication with the public, the latest trends will still be on these platforms. Of the minuses only this is certainly a big competition, which with each day grows exponentially.
