The ten most downloaded apps of the decade

The 2010s is almost over, and this decade saw major leaps in tech. Our smartphones are now more powerful and faster than ever. We use and download apps on our phones to do a lot of stuff - book an Uber ride, post a new Instagram story, among others.



And here are the top 10 most downloaded apps of the decade:
  • Facebook
  • Facebook Messenger
  • WhatsApp
  • Instagram
  • Snapchat
  • Skype
  • TikTok
  • UC Browser
  • YouTube
  • Twitter

These comprise the two major mobile platforms - Android and iOS. Of note is that the top four are from, well, Facebook. As you know, Facebook acquired Instagram in 2012, and WhatsApp in 2014. Surprisingly, Twitter made it to top 10.

    Interesting and weird so see TikTok on the list.

    Compared to other apps, it's relatively new, but nonetheless has managed to climb up so fast.
