Instagram announced last week that they're rolling out access to DMs via the web to everyone, everywhere. The feature was first reported in January.

This new feature is especially convenient to reporters, influencers, and social media managers especially if they respond to hundreds of messages daily as typing on a smartphone can be a strain. As DMs are now accessible via web browsers, these user groups are now more incentivised to chat over Instagram DMs.

Yeah, i see this feature. it's really helpfull, especially because i use extention to manage my instagram account. And will be easier to replay any dm on browser also

I'm glad that they've finally made it happen. I don't like relying on my smartphone for business at all.

ohh now I understand.
I am spending 90% of my 'instagram' time using laptop and just recently saw that I received a message and it was weird as before I could access the DM's only using the phone and now I can read and send messages using PC. Actually I like it a lot.

Finally after all these years instagram finally does what we have been wautubg for. They are just fgoing to have to follow the path of facebook. The feature will see more people joining instagramor using it more than they usually do if they already have accounnts. I cant wait to try it. What we have been waiting for has finally arrived.
