What type of page on Facebook you can't link from?

I am totally confused by this. I keep hearing that its against fb's rules to put your website link on a page but I see facebook pages with website links in it.

So which page is it that you cannot have a link to your website on, is it your Home page on your personal account, a page that you create for your business or a business account page please?

I am not seeing anything at all relating to "links" and to one's website in their rules and not seeing anything here also?

So why are so many people's accounts getting shut down from posting links to their website one their fb page? One fb Marketer told me the link can go in the About section but not on the page itself?

Where are you 'hearing tthat' from? Have you asked those sources why they say that or to point out that specific rule to you?

One fb Marketer told me the link can go in the About section but not on the page itself
Did you ask that person WHY he says that and where he got that information himself?

If you can't find it in FB rules...could it be the marketers 'telling you' were doing more than just linking or might have violated another FB rule?

This goes a bit deeper than "Rules". NO Facebook does not like when you have a link in a post that sends that user OFF of Facebook. Is there a RULE that says as such, and the answer is NO... Will you see a post with a link reflect low amount of reach, ABSOLUTELY!

Now if you are going to pay for an AD... then it's a bit different right? You are in essence PAYING Facebook for the lost traffic.

Facebook is PAID to display ads, and if you send the end user off of Facebook, Facebook no longer can serve ads and make money.

So, what is a person to do? First of all is your website in your Facebook profile? Are you creating worthwhile content that would move an end user to going to your profile, to see if you have a website? Can you drop the website address text into an image? There are MANY ways around the unwritten "RULE"

Right so it is an "unwritten rule", thanks for clarifying! This would explain why the FB Marketer told me to link the website in the About section. Neil Patel recommends having to boost the FB page so it will help google rank your site.

Where'd you get that info? Because I see some TG links on groups.

You can put your website link on a facebook page. It's not restricted by facebook. In fact it will help google rank your site. Just verify your FB page, link website and promote it.
