My experience on Twitter so far

I started an account on Twitter recently and I have been pleasantly surprised! From 0 to 1500 followers and around 50k profile visits in like 2 months. I also managed to get some sales, what's your experience in this social platform? ^^

I don't think you can outright see how many users have visited your profile, unless you're using another platform.

I thought of giving you a couple of tips, but I think is better if I give you a quick assessment I did for a client. Feel free to ask, I don't know your level of Twitter knowledge and you probably missing some context, but I think you may find this useful. I'll add some more stuff later:

      Twitter

So first things first, the most important part in a Twitter profile is their cover, profile picture, bio and pinned tweet...In PN's is far from being optimised, I think this tweet for example (link deleted per forum rules) is more powerful than their current pinned tweet. Why? Because the tweet is giving a "candy", the image is more dynamic and the CTA is better, right now the CTA is just a link to the website (that is dogshit)...So pinned tweet can be improved a lot

Cover should include a CTA or/and the USP's of this brand, it's too generic

Bio should be a linktree or directly Discord, at least while they fix their website

Profile picture I guess is okay, could use any of their special NFT's probably would stand out a bit more

Now, let's go with the meat, I'll try to land into PN as much as possible

      Content

Always a meme, thumbnail or a catchy image with each tweet
If a tweet works well in terms of engagement, try to make a thread out of it and RT'ing can be good content for later
Threads need to respond to: What's in it for me and why is it important? At least 1 thread a week.
People love to see "behind the curtains", a bit of "leaking", "alpha" is always great
Sense of team/Fam, co-creation (we're building this together, we're on this journey), direct questions to their audiences, and FOMO for the tweets.
RT's of valuable content of other accounts relevant to this audience.
Check for references in similar accounts, what's working and why? Model, adapt and improve it if possible.

      Engagement and building relationships

Content is like 1 out of 3 or 4 important aspects to grow an account...At least when the sentiment is this low, you need to work the engagement and start building relationships with your audience but also with possible collaborators:

Like all the replies to your content and reply back, it helps boost the algo. You can also RT if it's really good
Following 7 accounts is absurd, even BAYC is following 5-6k accounts, it doesn't help you, as long as you have a healthy ratio of followers/following it's fine. This account should follow potential accounts that can help PN in its journey (influencers, artists, collectors, other projects, etcetera) and like and engage with their content, adding value, be on their radar and algo will help you, because it will start to show you more as a suggested account and in people feeds.
Twitter accounts are way more solid and grow faster when people "feel" that there's a person behind the account, so it helps the algo to have "normal" activity instead of robotic brand activity
Spaces are super-key, I will do a separate point on this.

      Spaces

If you have a good pitch and a solid project and focus on adding value to the audiences, Spaces is the best way to grow organically and solid but... they also can be really time-consuming if you don't know how to manage them:

Pay attention to your feed, the more hosts and co hosts of Twitter spaces that you follow the more options to attend spaces you will have
You can attend several spaces at once, but you need several devices
There are mainly 2 kinds of spaces: shilling spaces and conversations on one or different topics. Shilling spaces is straight, you will have your turn and try to make the best possible pitch. The second one is about adding value. If you can position yourself as a reference and add value to the audience, you will build your brand and your community really fast and strong.
You don't need to wait hours for your turn in big spaces, just enter the space, request the mic and silence the space, when it's your turn, the sound will be on automatically.
It's a process, as you grow and build the account and relationships, you will have more opportunities, you will be a speaker more and faster and in better spaces and you will be invited in bigger and better spaces, it's a matter of consistency, showing up and adding value to the audiences.

      Extra

Give before receiving. What can easily give PN atm? Maybe NFT's...They have 10k and I'll say they are in a position of selling 5-10 atm, maybe other stuff, would be nice to have a list, but they definitely have the ammo to start using that strategically! You can stand out quickly on spaces if you reach out to hosts and co hosts and propose to organise giveaways among the participants in exchange for engagement, exposure, etcetera. Also, I mentioned this before, bear market is a fact, and it's a fact for everyone, influencers and CT included, so they shouldn't be too cocky negotiating...Most CT is far from wealthy.

      Conclusion

It's definitely possible to grow and to improve the PN's Twitter account, but it takes time and dedication and also being willing to do things differently and to trust what's working.

      Good cheats

https://scrunch.com/ is a tool that can help a lot to find, filter and work with influencers and other accounts (remember to use always twitter audit to avoid fake influencers)

To finish I'll share another plan I followed for an account I grew from zero. You can see the context and the reasoning behind it:

          My goals were the following:

-Bringing traffic to Concave (A DeFi crypto project)
          -Strengthen the Concave brand
-Bring educated investors, talent and valuable members to our community
-Build relationships with strategic Twitter accounts
-Deliver value to my audience and the audience of Concave's network

To do that I'm using the following account:

          @CatherineGairar

A bit of context: I started this Concave's ambassador account after talking with Epik, we thought it would be a good idea because is a way of building a crypto-audience aside of the main account because it gives you more flexibility and options, main account brands can be a bit rigid in marketing terms. I have grown the account from 0 to 1530 followers in two months and it's driving around 1k visit profiles a day, why is this important? Because all the Concave branding is there, the logo, the name, the RT's, the main account, the links to the website and the Discord community. Plus, in my day to day I can talk with people on spaces, etcetera about Concave. I know for a fact this activity has brought people to Concave and also some investments, it's a farming game, the idea is to keep growing this account as much as possible so Concave can have an in-house influencer. This can be replicated with other accounts, if for example Magickarps are up to. It's a great guerrilla marketing 100% organic.

So what am I doing on a daily basis?

          -5-10 original tweets or/+ a thread a day
-Engaging in a meaningful way with big accounts in my niche (adding them value, building relationships)
-Attend at least 1-2 spaces a day
-Collabs and co-hosts with bigger or same size accounts in my niche as frequent as possible, this allows me to build my brand, relationships, add value and grow my account faster and stronger
-Expand my network by following relevant accounts at least 10 a day
-Always keep DM inbox clean and send relevant DM's as a way to build and strengthen relationships

Can be a bit overwhelming, but doing 50% of that should be enough to grow an account and drive traffic fairly quickly, the key are the threads (content) and the networking, along the congruence of your message with the rest of your account. Also building relationship with your audience and your network there should make your life easier and more enjoyable. Hopefully it's been helpful, feel free to ask, best of luck

This is super useful-I'm gonna click the Thanks button, but wanted to post and say it too, as it's hard to know what works *now* vs what used to work, so thanks a lot for giving us a more recent write-up! I'm taking notes and will use this if I get on Twitter.

You're welcome! Feel free to ask any questions regarding this topic. Social media platforms changes really quickly, but at least in Twitter, 90% stays the same, so this notes from a couple of months ago are up-to-date
