Are affiliates allowed to do giveaways using FB ads?

Hi guys, I operate a sports news fan page on Facebook. It's connected to my sports new website. It's not a real business (like ESPN for instance) but it's a genuine news site that I started.

I would like to run a swag giveaway for a specific MLB team using FB Lead Ads.

I ran a real Iphone giveaway earlier this year and targeted Iphone as an interest. This didn't turn out too well. My ad account was permanently disabled. Facebook claimed that I was trying to steal personal information. I wasn't. But they thought I was.

After this happened, I reached out to other marketers and they told me that Facebook doesn't like Iphone giveaways. Apparently there are too many scammers doing it.

Would a New York Yankees swag giveaway raise red flags too?

Does Facebook only like giveaways from real businesses? Or are affiliates allowed to do it too?

Thanks

If someone tells you 'yes, you can do that' - is it worth anything? No, because no one here can make a decision for Facebook.

Do you have a license to use the registered trademark? I'd think that red flag might be an issue...but just guessing.

I've discovered that you are allowed to do giveaways using Facebook ads. Just don't target Amazon as an interest and have "$50 Amazon gift card giveaway" in the ad headline.

      I learn new things. Thanks.
