Maybe he use youlikehits. Or use more sites like youlikehits and increase in this way the efforts in the same amount of time.

Anyway it is very possible. And will be a good idea to ask the seller for more information. Matter a fact if you go to the best sites like fiverr and ask for more information you'll be amazed about the answers.

They generally use networks where people are given a point for each like and once the points reach a certain limit, it can be redeemed for cash and goodies. Most of them are fake profiles created for the sake of it.

This is not a recommended strategy. Becasue, Facebook can track where your likes are coming from (check page insights for your page and you will see the sources of 'likes"). But there has been no definitive action from Facebook so far. So its a risk, if facebook decides to take action, you will be in trouble.

There are many ways to accomplish that.

- You can use exchange services websites (there are million of those today).
- Some use software (bots). These ones are faked likes.
- some of them cheat the exchanges websites to get points in illegal ways to get likes.

Probably some kid sitting behind a computer with an excel sheet and a lot of logging in and out of different accounts, stay away from these fake likes they are of no benefit to your fan page whatsoever, you will get the required amount then they will begin to drop off as facebook identifies the accounts to be fake. Stick with the real promotions on fan pages at least you can be sure you will attain quality of quantity.

I am or rather was under the impression that these freelancers create thousands of email addresses and then get registered with Facebook in those addresses, add some thing to the profiles and start with liking a link! I have tried searching for a software that could help me with it, but couldn't locate one.. Has any one used a software for this purpose??

Though I have never used this service but I have heard that for doing this you have to make them an admin of your page.. Is that correct and safe??

I'm pretty sure they use a software that collects images and then they creates facebook accounts and email addresses automotically!

You can always tell fake facebook account because they usually have a chick dressed in nothing as a profile pic with no wall post or any other info.

Fake accounts do no good to anyone since us as marketers want to use the them for the viral effect.

Sad part is those people make a killing selling fake/bot likes on fiverr.

In some instances, they use facebook like exchange networks (i.e. you like me and I like you). In those cases, the "likes" would be coming from real people / profiles per se even though they aren't real fans of your page.

Yeah, the Google +1 sellers are all over fiverr now. Ranging from a few dozen to hundreds. I'm pretty wary of these though... even if they claim to be "natural" or "organic", my guess is Google is on high alert for anything that looks otherwise, even if it's just a strange frequency jump.

I tested the "facebook like" gig on Fiverr. Got the hits alright and the bonus was to promote my link to their +80 thousand twitter followers. they sent me a link to check the post. Probably +79.99 thousand were fake accounts too.

Definitely a Like Exchange place. There was a warrior on here who gave away a free WSO on it. All it was was a script that you run using FireFox. The script made all of the clicking and accepting on the Like Exchange site all automated.

It's still on here somewhere, I dug it up a couple months ago but I forgot who it was.

Yep I've ordered it before. All the fans are fake - there's no interaction by them. If you actually click on it, majority of my new fans are hot chicks from Miami with 10 friends...now we know that's not possible

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. It's more of a curiosity thing...I don't think I would ever see a benefit in getting fake likes.

More importantly, though, make sure you have a real following of "likes" before you blast your account with them. Your credibility will be tarnished if you're not providing value via Facebook with content, links, etc. People notice these types of things and you'll be flagged in their mind.

Getting likes is INCREDIBLY easy. There are 2 ways:

1) Create a fan page and write great content inside until you get 50k fans. Then you can advertise the desired facebook page and just tell the people to like it (not exactly "Please like it".. something similar)

2) Make "unreal" facebook users like the page.. I had this problem. About 2 years ago I bought something similar and gave $50 for 10,000 quick likes... Once I paid the person, he added me the likes.. But!!! The people were not real... I can't explain you why?!? Just when I post something NOBODY exactly comments or likes it.. From 10,000 people ?!?

So before mark the offer as completed DOUBLE CHECK that the people are REAL.

IMO the main reason to get a lot of facebook likes or twitter followers is not to promote or sell, but to attract new fans/ followers and page popularity. People tend to choose page or profile that has lot of fans, though they are "fake" or something like that.

So I wanna ask a question to you all, you will tend to like page that has 500 likes or just 10 likes?

All it is is cheap social proof. The point isn't generating sales from those likes but increasing the odds that other people will take you more seriously and consequently create sales.

Social proof helps in a lot of cases and just as importantly a lack of social proof can scare people off.

This interests me because I recently started a new band and subsequently created the Facebook page (most bands use Facebook these days due to the reach), and I only have about 50 likes. It's a bit sad but I admit that I would be less likely to give a band with only 50 fans a listen compared to a band with 550 fans; so in some instances it definitely has its value.

But the point is.. it's FAKE.

The reason that band would have 550 fans is because people like them..

I think anyone and everyone using FAKE Facebook fans, likes, comments, +1's, tweets, or anything else should be banned permanently.

If you want to be REAL, then get REAL people to your pages, get REAL people to see what you have to offer and let them decide on their own..

Otherwise we're going to have a ton of companies that are useless, but seem wonderful.

Maybe they are using sources that does "Like Exchanging", which you need to like their Facebook Fan Page in exchange of liking yours. I have seen that on Twiends, but now that kind of feature was already removed.

Bots, exchanges, fake ads and accounts, etc.

I'll prob test a few out later in the week, doesn't matter if they are fake. Having 1,000+ likes means you're going to be viewed as a legit place or business.

  have you ever sat through a really crappy speech, and just didn't have the balls to stand up and leave (even though the crappyness is overwhelming)? but then shortly after feeling the 'fear' you see two other people simply stand up and walk out, and this gives you the motivation and confidence to do so yourself -

  a visitor is much more likely to "like/share" a page/site if it has been done so already by many other people, very few want to be the first.
  
  I have used this principle many times, shortly before actual marketing campaigns - and it definitely seems to influence a positive effect. infact you can arrange with the "seller" to have the likes removed after a month, so you only retain the genuine ones, keeping you safe from the FaceBook Police (lol)

No real detrimental effects, the one benefit it adds is that it creates a mob effect.
Since facebook users can't really view others who like the page, they only see that xxx has liked this page, this will create a bit of comfort and interest. It's better to start promoting your page when the # is sitting at 500 than at 0.

that's the only real benefit I see

Yep, that is the only real benefit and it is enough for these gigs to be thriving since most new FB pages are desperate to have fans rather than be seen with 0, fake or not. Some of these gigs even guarantee you that the fans will come from a specific country, gender, etc...
They are all fake profiles have no doubt about it but the benefit above is still worth 25-50 bucks for many page owners.

Even though the likes aren't "real fans" . The benefit is in creating a perceived value in a potential fan. Therefore they are more likely to like a page with 500 fans as opposed to a page with 30 fans.

Hi all...Interesting read!
If the 500 likes are coming from different locations (e.g. countries or cities) then it would be valuable. I guess it's easy tell track with some analytic tool where it all comes from.

Never understood why people want fake likes on their page. I would rather 10 genuine likes than 1000 fake ones. What is the point? Are you trying to fool yourself or what?

They're fake accounts that don't convert. They can come by bots, Social Exchange Sites, or who knows where.
