You can purchase FB ad credits to promote your FB page within FB network. Or you can promote it like you would with any other live webpages. You can social bookmark it, post it on social networking sites like Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. You can also blog about your new FB page and promote it among your subscribers and site visitors. Try to use as much engaging content as possible, post regularly and use image and video. Give people value and a reason to come to your page and ask them to share and like at every opportunity. Engage with groups and group admins in your niche, ask good questions and give good answers.
You often get a FB ads coupon in your hosting package so look in the CPanel, of course that depends on the host.

Ok... I think the best way to start is with FB PPC Platform, that way you can get very targeted people, I started like that, I paid for the first 1500 fans and then I kept proving great content, nice pictures etc. and asking them to like it and share it, right now my page is very close to reach 50,000 fans in less than 3 months and it is incredible active, I'm getting over 10,000 likes per post, the posts are very viral.

You can always go to fiverr and pay for likes. Wouldn't recommend it though. One way that worked for me was to offer a gift for likes, or make them have to like your page to see the content.

If you have a website or blog, then use the Facebook fan page widget everywhere so that your visitors can share and like the page. The more like you will get the more viral your content will be.

Use like box and share button to all the places around the blog.

Use your Facebook fan page in your email signature, forums and as many places as you can.
Try to post interesting content relevant to your topic such as some great info-graphic that attracts the visitors most.

Ask you twitter followers and other social media followers to join your Facebook fan page.

You can invest in facebook ads.

Use your fan page link in your business card and personal profile

Put your fan page URL on your Twitter profile background.

To promote a facebook page, give people a reason to visit your page.

People love pictures and peeks behind the scenes so you can share videos and other human interest stories.

If your facebook page is about your business industry, find other facebook pages that are writing about your industry and give them some love by linking them to your page.

Promoting your Facebook page on your website, in your newsletters and other marketing will help; but building connections is the key to success.

Remember, it will take time to build trust with your followers and like anything will not happen over night. However, the rewards for spending a little time to interact with your customers on Facebook could be priceless.

we do this 3 ways.

1) join other groups, and post comments.

2) Give away 10 - 15 page PDF reports for free. Make sure they are full of great content, and help people in your niche, and give them rights to give the ebook away. if you book is good you can get hundreds of people visiting your site for free, forever.

3) Go to high traffic blogs in your niche and try to get people coming to your facebook page.

These are the best ways I think. But otherwise, give away stuff and post stuff that can go viral. :-)

You can never go wrong with facebook ads. I grew my fans from 0 to almost 2000 in just over 2 weeks. Page is for my personal project though so I'm not looking for big numbers as i'm not using it to make any money at all

There are so many ways to promote you page! I use twitter and other social media, as will as put them on my blogs, and websites. Use something cute or funny so it will go viral. Create a short video and put it on YouTube. Traffic galore! Don't be afraid of FB ads either, but be careful you set a limit on spending!!

Should you wish to optimize your Facebook Fan Page then you need to think the title relevant to your niche point it to your blogsite or webiste, associate it with twitter account and follow personality with high volume of followers and tweet a topic related to current activities of the personality you followed and most of all the topic should be relevant to your website content or of necessary create a post or page regarding the tweet.

In your Facebook Fan Page create iframe tab and create a shortcut to your fanpage, iframe your featured posts or pages so that people can browse your website from your Facebook Fan Page directly to your site.

Well frankly speaking there are various ways to promote facebook page-

Promote it through website or blog. Add more fiends as much as you can and ask them to like your page and share post . As much visitors share your page ,fan page will be more promoted. The more like you will get from visitors the more effective your facebook page will be.

Post relevant and interesting post on daily basis so that more visitors would be attracted towards your facebook page.

Use your Facebook fan page in your email signature, forums with siignature of your facebook fan page and promote your link as much you can and as many places as you can.

Make account in twitter with more followers so that if you post your content in twitter follower will automatically follow your post and it would be promoted and ask them to be added tour facebook page and like them and share with their friends.

All great ideas and techniques, well except the buying of likes, which in my opinion is truly a waste of money. I think it's much better to gain organic likes and fans rather than those not even interested in what you have to offer.

Remember, the productivity and wealth of your fan page really depends on the quality of your fans and the quality of your content. With that said, I'd rather have 5K interested people than 50K fans that are there merely to inflate the numbers.
