I'm on day 2 of a test ad on facebook. I actually have gained 45 leads to the fanpage.

My question is on my click through ratio:

Basically these leads cost me only .18 cents per lead so far.

Click through on my ad is:

0.489

Good or bad?

I realize its different on facebook as in relationship to adwords.

0.489% click through rate is really good! The average click through rate in 2011 was around .2% so you should be very happy to have more than double that.

Great and I'm now at 51 leads generated.

Okay if 0.2 is the standard then I'm doing double that. Good. I can add this to my knowledge base.

Thanks for the info!!! % is at 0.497 now.

It depends, are your ads targeted?

Your stats here are better than many advertisers. However, around 98% of people liking Facebook pages in the US never return to that brands page. Sending people straight to a website works best for generating sales. If you just want likes, try some worldwide campaigns. You can get 45 likes per dollar. I had over 10,000 likes generated the way you are doing now and I never got one dollar back in business despite the number of leads I had.

If you know you are getting the bottom line result you want out of these ads in terms of money in the door, ad some more ads to your campaign to see if you can get ones with a lower cost per like. 2 to 10 cents per like is ideal for a US audience.

I have no goal for this campaign and I am wasting money learning to make money here. I set a very small budget. 5 bucks a day and went for a few days with it to test a certain style or type of ad..

It did not produce mad likes and yes that is all I was looking for. My next lesson is going to be getting folks to a optin list.

        Baby steps.

Yes. Very targeted to one specific activity. Actually to people who shop at 2 stores that are surrounded around just that activity. Sorry learned not to give up your niches on here.

0.489 is quite good. You must of have done a good job with your targeting. For that you get rewarded doubly. You get better more relevant fans, also FB will lower your CPC since its more easy for them to earn a click fee since your ad has a good CTR.

Just for reference, here is a guide I use:

<.2 = bad, have to rethink the targeting, text ,message or all of the above.
    .2-.3 = average / acceptable
    >.3 = good

The click-through rate on my first ad was: 0.766% - so that's pretty good?
But my cost per like was much higher than his, I ended up at around 0.33$/like.

Any idea how to increase the amount of likes, with maintaining the CT? I changed the ad a little bit, but it ended up with a 0.231% rate and even higher like cost of 0,35$/like.

Impressive results compared to the majority, great job! Well, at least you learned something here so before you do anything next, you should formulate a plan first. Good luck!

I agree. I should of had a game plan. This niche is a hobby niche and I can do some affiliate amazon sales stuff or a CB thing.

I would of made a profit by now. Later this week I will monitize it with an offer.

My next lesson to try are the usage of groups and fan page id's advertising.
