Letting Facebook optimise v bidding?

I was wondering what other peoples' experiences with bidding for clicks as opposed to letting FB optimise for clicks?
Well, it says optimise for clicks but then says that you'll be charged when someone sees it anyway.

I've been running ads and letting FB optimise, because I've found it's quicker than bidding. The cheapest is currently £0.14 per click. But I'm beginning to wonder if, in the long term, I manually bidded, would I be better off?

Make sure you set a tracking pixel.

    Set it to auto-bidding.

Facebook will optimize the ads towards your conversion value (you can set that in the pixel itself)

    TEST TEST TEST
