Where to start on Twitter?

Hi, I've recently started a twitter account for my website and am struggling to get a following. I don't gave money to invest in Twitter ads at the moment.

I also don't want spammy followers that aren't interested in what I have to say. Does anyone gave good tips that there willing to share?

    Promote it using your current website if you don't want to use ads of twitter.

    Spammy are just useless. I have tried them. 20 targeted followers are better than 20,000 fake followers.

      I'm with you.

      You need to mention your niche's influencers within your blog posts, then mention the influencers in tweets.

      I've done quite well with getting influencers to RT and that does wonders for tapping into their audience.
