Make a fan page (facebook.com/pages/create), then promote the page with a free offer (like an ebook). You can set your budget to whatever you're comfortable with, and boost the page from time to time. That's how I got 2,087 likes on my page in 2 weeks.

    Thank you.

I don't want people at work, to know the facebook page is mine.

I am not a member of facebook. But I want to promote a business I am beginning to do.

Is there anyway I can create a facebook business page with no strings attached to me.

Facebook pages aren't attached to your personal account.

I agree with other posters here that the route you want to go is set up a Facebook Fan page. Then you can use a Pen Name or your own brand name for the page. Schedule a few posts that offers some value to your potential readers.

Then you can either boost those posts for 5 bucks, and/or set up an ad campaign to get likes for you page. Build your fan base, and continue giving value. Only once a week or less should you push your product directly from your fanpage.

People typically aren't on Facebook looking to buy stuff...but they will if you do things right. Offer them a free product or direct them off-site to subscribe to your list is a good route to go.

Pushing product once a week isn't going to make much money. If you have a fanpage that caters to a specific niche market and the people in that niche market are known buyers, you can promote products to them daily and they'll keep coming back for more. I have multiple ads running to my fanpages every day selling everything from T-Shirts to physical products and people are buying them up like crazy.

I hear people say that people aren't on Facebook to buy stuff all the time, but in my experience, they are more than willing to buy as long as you present them with an offer that's too good to pass up. Pick something that's cool and that people want to share and they'll do a lot of your advertising for you by liking, sharing and commenting on your posts.

You're right about the list part...Directing them to a website where you collect their e-mail address is definitely the way to go.

            Hi,

            Good answers from everybody.

I would suggest using Facebook Notes. It drives me a lot of traffic, and you can get out to every of your Fanpage members instead of using money on Facebook ads, that can ruin you if you don´t know how to use fb ads properly.

This method with FB notes is able to go viral extremely fast.

Yes you can advertise directly with FB notes also without having a fanpage. These ads can rank on Google fast and be send out very fast. I suggest building a list this way.

If you are only building a Fanpage in the traditional way I would say that you could begin advertsing after you got 1500 likes or so...but you will also have to pay to reach your fans after you got them into your fanpage.... the reach out is limited also in a FB fanpage

So my best bet...FB Notes...You can reach everyone...

First time i used it about a year ago with direct linking i made 2 sales in about 18 minutes, and a few thousand dollars each month only by direct linking the next 4 months. After that i mainly used it for traffic generation and long term traffic by sending the traffic to squeeze pages, niche sites and CPA offers.

FB Notes in my opinion is the 2nd best free traffic methods you get to build good traffic.

            Hope it helps...

You can find some info on Youtube about FB notes if you don´t know what it is.

        1. I am trying to make a link-able picture in my personal FB page.Any help on this. I was thinking of creating a FB page, and then share it on my FB personal page.

        2. What size the picture needs to be to cover the entire post section? I want to the picture to be big and clickable back to my website.

        Thanks
