New Posts Functionality

For the last few years, I've viewed the forum almost exclusively by using the "New Posts" function. I can see everything new at once and then choose what to read or respond to.

A couple months ago a member complained to me about classified sellers bumping their thread several times a day and how annoying it was. I agree even though I think people that buy ads should have more leeway.

Sure enough, the bumping seemingly stopped. I thought it was great.

Later I started noticing that not one new WSO had been listed in a few days. I thought this was crazy so I went to check out the forum only to find that they were still plugging along with new WSOs.

What happened, perhaps due to the complaint of my friend, is it seems you limited what shows up in New Posts. WSOs and its subforums as well as the WR do not show up anymore.

As a result, using the WR just got a little harder which makes the fee less worth it in my mind. Likewise, even though I am extremely careful about what I buy here, there is no chance I will buy anything if I don't see the ads. It would seem that cutting off the view of your bread money to all those that view the forum this way would not be in your best interests.

So, my suggestion is to find a way to let us choose what shows up in New Posts. I would, for example, choose to not see the Reciprocal Link section. I never view it, have no interest in it, have never posted in it (I don't think), and so can do without it in my everyday browsing view.
