So how about a thumbs down button?
Or better yet, a slap button.
Of course a baby shake button would come in handy on some.
#button #thumbs

I don't think this is a good idea only because it would be abused.

No one would abuse the "thanks" button because of the nature of it, or what it means. Giving positive social proof is not likely to be abused. And there are some in this place who would abuse the thumbs down button.

All this will do is spark bad feelings among members, or some of them. And then there will be "getting back" by issuing a thumbs down to those who gave it to them.

If you really want to stir the hornets nest, if there's a thumbs down it subtracts one "thanks."

Now that will stir hate and discontent.

Success doesn't come in an instant, just like Rome wasn't built in a day.

Strongly disagree for this reason... We are supposed to be a business community that shares and supports each other in a positive manner. When another member's idea is, in your opinion, a "thumbs down" just say so and do it with respect to the other members opinion. And remember, your opinion may be right or wrong, because every one has different opinions. Some based on fact.. some based on no facts.

How would you feel if someone used this every time you made a suggestion..

Would that deter you from offering additional ideas or opinions in the future? I have always held that ideas and even opinions promote innovation and I would hate to see members never return to this forum just because there is a mechanism to stomp on innovation.

    Jeffery 100% :-)
